"Can we go to Starbucks?" Her face is hopeful, and I nod. She claps her hands a little and rolls down her window, and I do the same. I take my time driving, trying to focus on the road before me instead of the girl beside me. Thankfully there's a parking spot in the front. I pull in and hop out of my truck. Opening the door, the sweet smell of vanilla and coffee hits me, and I cant help but sigh.

"Me too." She says, and I chuckle, gesturing for her to go get a table while I get in line.

"What do you want?" I say to her,

"Peppermint mocha, please."

Three people wait in front of me, a group of mothers and their young children. I finally get to the counter and order two peppermint mochas, and a few minutes later, they are ready.

I slide into the seat across her, handing her a cup.

"What did you get?" She asks, sipping her mocha.

"Same thing." I reply and stare out of the window to my right. "February."

"Hmm."

I am about to say everything, everything I am feeling, changing my mind at the last second. "Happy Friday." I say, holding up my cup to cheers with her. She laughs, and taps our cups together.

"Happy Friday."
