When Kirishima woke up, it wasn't to an alarm, but to kids' laughing and playing outside in the corridor. Or maybe it was downstairs; they were being very loud. He quickly got dressed, and washed his face in the bathroom because he looked like he had just woke up, and he began thinking that maybe he should have been awake earlier.
As he walked down the stairs, he could hear the sound of plates clinking against forks, and he rubbed his eyes when he finally made it to the last step.
"Ah, you're finally awake," grinned Uraraka, waving at him from the table she was at. "We were just about to finish breakfast. Do you want toast, or anything?" she asked.
"Uh. Do you guys have cereal bars?" he asked, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Yeah, we do," said Midoriya, pointing at one of the cupboard behind the island separating the dinning area from the kitchen. "The cupboard next to the fridge," he specified.
Kirishima followed his instructions, and a couple seconds later, he was munching on a cereal bar while he sat down next to Todoroki since the seat was free.
"After breakfast, we are going to be in the meeting room," said Uraraka, getting his attention by tapping the table in front of him. "We won't be riding any horses this week, instead we'll be getting background information, a bit," she shrugged.
"Like what?" he asked.
"How they were used in history, and more stuff like that," she said.
Kirishima hummed as he nodded. "Okay."
"You better pay attention," she grinned.
"Yeah, I will," he nodded.
As breakfast ended, the group dispersed. Midoriya, Todoroki, and Iida seemed to all stay together as they walked to the stable, while Asui walked towards another stable, and Uraraka led the summer camp group to the meeting room, which didn't really look like a meeting room. All the desks and chairs were piled up against the wall to make space for a bunch of bean bags and cushions.
Sadly, there were only ten bean bags and cushions, so Kirishima had to take a chair and awkwardly be taller than everyone else. He won't complain though since he has somewhere to sit. Uraraka doesn't seem to mind to be standing up though.
"Alright! I have fun PowerPoints to last all week, and right now we will be learning about their uses in the past!" announced Uraraka, smiling as the group seemed interested. "Before I start, does anyone have any idea about horses in history?" she asked.
The group fidgeted in silence, before one girl held her hand up.
"Yes?"
"Were they used to help people move around, like cars?" she asked.
"Hmm, yes! They were. They were used mostly to pull carriages around, so riding them like we do here wasn't quite their use before, but you are right. Any other ideas?" she asked.
One boy held his hand up. "In the middle ages, they used horses to fight, right?" he asked.
"Hmm, I suppose so, but in a way, yes," she nodded. "Let's get started then, shall we?"
The group cheered in response, and Kirishima grinned instead of cheering himself.
She taught them about their uses in history chronologically. Apparently, horses were used to keep herds around about six thousands years ago, or well, in the prehistoric times. Later, they were also used to work in the fields, and mounted to fight during wars.
