The week after started relatively normal. He didn't get any email on Sunday, but he was over at the Kaminaris' apartment because they wanted to do movie night, and they ended up all sleeping over. They ate a big breakfast, and a small lunch before they dispatched into their own apartments. Kirishima didn't stay long, and decided to go work out not long after leaving the Kaminaris' apartment.
He worked out with Satou and Tetsutetsu, and they talked about random things they heard or saw. They worked out for a couple hours, before finally leaving and going back to their own places.
Monday was normal too. He went to work, and stayed there the entire day. He and everyone else even got to finish and leave early since all the parents had picked up their kids earlier than usual. It was a nice change, and it was even better to think about when they realized they had such a good day, and it was only Monday. Of course, part of Kirishima thought maybe it would turn out bad later this week, but his optimistic self decided that the week started well, so it will continue well.
Tuesday didn't have anything remarkable about it, but he did go to one of Yaoyorozu's tea parties after work since she had missed doing tea parties, and wanted to catch up on the lost time. He met up with Kyouka and Ashido on the way, and then they enjoyed nice tea and small cakes. He got to admit he wasn't a fan of her fancy tea, and whilst she gasped, she did introduce him to another luxury tea, and he was surprised at how good it was. Perhaps she had just given him a tea that wasn't really meant for him, but now she found the right one. He had a good time, and he even got to make plans for a next time that they'll meet up like this. When he got home, he slept very well, and part of him thinks it might be Yaoyorozu's tea working its magic.
On Wednesday, the day was boring. Most of the children were given a lot of homework to do, and he was pretty slow at helping them with it. It didn't help that a couple of them had knocked down some glasses of either juice or water, but he still struggled with cleaning up. He was up with Hagakure two hours after their shifts technically end to clean things up, and they really couldn't do that much about it. It didn't have a noticeable stain, but if you look closely enough, you would notice that it is stained. They didn't notice anything until look more at where they cleaned, but they decided to just leave it be. The kids usually never complain about things like this, so they wouldn't start now. He was exhausted when he got home, and he almost missed dinner to go straight to bed. He did eat something small, but it wasn't anything very healthy. He'll eat something nicer tomorrow, he decided.
On Thursday, the day was normal. He got up at the usual time, made himself some breakfast with just toast and jam, and then got himself dressed. The day started normal, and it wasn't until after he began helping the children do homework after they came back from school that something more interesting happened.
He was helping a group with their science homework, which was simple anatomy things, and it was homework that could be done using their textbooks, so getting the answers wasn't very difficult, they just had to look in the right places. He managed to help them get most of the answers, and he was watching them write them down, when he felt his phone vibrate.
It gave him a spark of hope, but his phone has been vibrating for any small notification, no matter how unimportant it is. He still checked it though, preferring to have his spark of hope crushed than to miss something. He gasped when he saw what it was.
"What is it? Kiriri?" asked one of the girls, tilting her head as she watched him, confused.
"Uh- Nothing bad," he grinned, looking around to see if any of his co-workers were free right now. Kouda seemed to not be too busy. "I need to go check something, but you all practically already finished your science homework, so you'll be fine," he smiled, getting up. He marched over towards Kouda. "Hey man, I need to go check something, so could you help them if they need some? They are mostly done anyway," he said.
