He had woken up at a reasonable time, and he quickly rushed through getting ready and eating breakfast. He ate quicker when Midoriya mentioned that Bakugou was already waiting for him.
As he arrived to the stable, he grabbed the different brushes he needed, as well as the hoof pick, and then he made his way to Prince's box. He greeted him by petting his muzzle, and then his neck. He gave him a short hug before starting to do the grooming. He started with the curry comb, and made sure he wasn't rushing through it, and that he wasn't too rough. He avoided the face and legs, like Bakugou and the tutorials had told him. Next, he took the hard brush and brushed short strokes to make sure more dirt was removed. Prince's coat isn't that dark, but it is brown enough that Kirishima had a hard time seeing if he really removed the tiny dirt. He grabbed a soft brush, brushing again, this time brushing gently on the legs too, and then he took the face brush to briefly brush away the dirt on Prince's face. Then, he used the hoof picks to clean his hooves and make sure everything was okay, and then he gave Prince a pat before leaving with the brushes in his arms. He returned with the saddle and pad, and also the bridle.
He started with the saddle pad and saddle, since he managed to put that on with more ease than the bridle. After he made sure it was secure enough to not fall, then he started to try and put the bridle on. He's lucky Prince is kind, so he didn't struggle that much, but he did have a hard time putting the bit in Prince's mouth, since he was so distracted by the other horses around. After managing, Kirishima made sure the attaches were firmly, yet not too tight, attached on Prince. After, he began leading Prince out of the box to go to the manège where Bakugou was probably waiting for them.
When he saw Bakugou, he gulped. He started to sweat as he saw the obstacles Bakugou was preparing, and he placed Prince near King, who was calmly staring at the pasture.
"Good morning," he greeted, walking towards Bakugou after he let Prince go. "I really don't think I'm ready to do jumps-"
"Good fucking morning," sneered Bakugou. "It doesn't fucking matter, because you somewhat now know how to do all of the gaits, except canter, but we don't talk about that yet, and now you should learn how to survive a fucking jump," he shrugged, putting the bar very low. "You aren't going to be doing high jumps yet," he sighed, noticing Kirishima's nervous fidgeting. "You're a beginner, so obviously we won't. You'll be starting like every other beginner, and your first jump will be just a bar on the floor," he said.
"Are you sure that is on the floor?" asked Kirishima, frowning.
"Yes. The bars on the floor barely even do anything," said Bakugou. "You won't feel a thing change," he added. "The horse literally just walks over it, like you would walk over a crack on the sidewalk," he said.
"That's... different-"
"Or a small branch on the floor- Fucking hell, it isn't anything major," he growled, making sure Kirishima won't try and change his plans.
"O-okay," he said, pouting. "I'm still really nervous."
"Of course," huffed Bakugou, standing up after he finished setting the obstacle correctly. "For now, you will be jumping the obstacles by trotting, so don't fucking be too anxious."
"I... I still get nervous when trotting-"
"Shut up. You'll be fucking fine," he sighed, checking the obstacle was stable, before finally pushing Kirishima towards their horse. "I'll give you a demonstration so you know what to expect," he said. "Mount your horse, and then go more towards the centre. I'll show you twice, then you'll do it once, and if I have nothing more to say to you, you'll do it five times more. If you mess up, that's an additional five," he said, quickly getting onto his horse.
