The next couple days, Kirishima had to survive Bakugou's lessons. They weren't as harsh as they were last week, but he still got angry easily when he looked at Kirishima, and at some point Kirishima thought that maybe he could have forgotten what he was angry about, but he just knew it had something to do with him. He looked more tired than angry these days, and Kirishima wished he would let him talk to him.
He grew more worried, and anxious, and sometimes he got a bit fed up with him. He was sick of being yelled at for reasons he doesn't know, and he hates feeling like he is hated, even though every thing he replays in his mind, every interaction, just simply doesn't add up.
On the third day, he had come across Midoriya saying that Bakugou won't be here today, and Kirishima decided to make that day his rest day. He took all of Bakugou's horses to the pasture, and watched them from the fence. They all seemed happy to run around, and Kirishima couldn't help but smile at them.
Ashido's offer still stood, he knows he does, but he's glad to be reminded of the reasons why he should stay.
He pet King's nose as he came up to him after a while.
He may be hated, or have anger towards him right now by the person he really likes being around with, but the horses are also important to him now. He can't help but like being around them. Like Uraraka had told them, they offer silent therapy, and being around them is enough to have Kirishima want to stay at the centre. If he still wants to learn, but begins to hate Bakugou back, then he can just join Midoriya and Iida's lessons. Plus, he likes the kids they teach, so being around them would also be really fun.
"Are you okay?" he whispered to King, petting the front of his nose. "Bakugou hasn't been kind to anyone, not even his best friends," he said, thinking about how Bakugou didn't seem as nice as he usually was with Todoroki nor Midoriya. "I'm beginning to think he doesn't even want to be my friend," he pouted, letting King go to stare at him with a smile.
King neighed loudly, then nuzzled Kirishima shortly, and then left to go gallop around. Prince galloped with him, and Kirishima smiled at them.
'At least these two are close friends,' he thought, staring at the two, and almost imagining him and Bakugou hanging out as happily as they are currently. Then, he frowned. 'King didn't seem to be putting up with Bakugou's shit either, now that I think about it.' He may not like to think about it, but he can't help but think that Bakugou may have everyone turned against him right now, in one way or another.
He looked at all the other horses, and wondered if he should ride them at some point or another. He knows that they are ridden by Bakugou's students, but they don't come over during the summer, so they have a long holiday of no riding. Maybe it is a good thing for them, maybe it is a bad thing, but Kirishima can't help but feel like they are being... forgotten during the summer.
They are all beautiful horses, and sometimes he really wonders how often they are being cared for. They all get along to, so at least it doesn't seem like there is any jealousy. He's surprised at how well King gets along with the others, but he guesses that King probably doesn't get along with that many humans. Maybe the comfort of Bakugou trusting others makes him trust the people he trusts. Kirishima is glad to be liked by him.
He heard footsteps to the side, and glanced over. Midoriya was walking up to him, and winced as he saw Kirishima's confused expression.
"I just wanted to tell you that Kacchan won't really be back this week," he said. "Uraraka sent him over to his parents with hope that they can calm him down, or at least have him confess what's going on in his head," he shrugged. "Things aren't looking too good for now," he said.
