As Sunday left, Kirishima and Bakugou continued their usual learning routine. Things were repetitive, but neither of them are willing to let it go. It is a fun routine, and unlike learning things like at school, Kirishima finds himself happy to learn from Bakugou. Even if Bakugou can't find anything to teach Kirishima, just being near him, and doing horse riding things is enough for him. He would watch Bakugou do random dressage walks for days, and never ask to do something else.
Monday was a beautiful day, and rain wasn't even planned.
They had both woken up late though, deciding that they aren't on a strict schedule, so they can sleep in if they want. Kirishima ate breakfast with Bakugou, enjoying the rare times he gets to do that, and they took their time. They weren't in a rush. They didn't even leave the kitchen once they put everything in the dishwasher, after confirming that everyone had eaten breakfast.
They waited until it was done, watching videos together, and even playing random games on their phones together. They tried to beat each other's records, and when Kirishima managed to beat Bakugou's old record on one of the games, Bakugou exceeded it, so whilst it was impressive, Kirishima's win did get overtaken pretty quickly. They talked more, joking around, and thinking about random questions, and while Bakugou could answer most of them, a couple of them were so out of this world that they had to research the answers. Even the internet didn't have an answer until they searched far enough. It was an entertaining short morning, to say the least.
As lunch arrived, they both realised that they have been pretty unproductive, and Bakugou refused to have the day continue as such. When he finished cooking lunch for everyone, and when they all finished eating, he dragged Kirishima over to the stables by the hand, ignoring any protest he has, knowing that he won't be complaining as soon as they started practising.
"Today has to be the laziest Monday of my life," sighed Kirishima, as they walked around the manège by horseback for the tenth time since starting.
"Your fault."
"Your fault too," he blamed. "I would never complain to do horse riding."
Bakugou looked at him sceptically, and then looked away. "Sure."
"Is that sarcastic? Please tell me it isn't-"
"Let's go quicker," he interrupted, making King trot.
Kirishima sighed, but did the same as Bakugou. The trot definitely woke him up, as he focused for the first couple rounds, and then let himself go into muscle memory.
As a result of their procrastination, Bakugou has also been as slow as Kirishima, and they didn't do anything really hardcore. They'd rather not accidentally fall of, especially since it can hurt. They do not want that as their wake up call, and they are sure that explaining to Recovery Girl that they are just tired isn't going to be a good enough excuse. It would also be pretty embarrassing, but falling off a horse is always embarrassing.
They decided that simply practising their gaits and doing a couple dressage figures would be pretty harmless, and they would survive it without putting in too much effort. They didn't do the walk much more, knowing that it is a bit too lazy for now, and perhaps they should do things faster, so they mostly did the trot, with a couple minutes of gallop once in a while.
They practised gaits for a while, and Bakugou even decided to teach Kirishima how to do the canter, since they haven't done it much. Bakugou did it with ease, even through the fatigue of laziness, but Kirishima struggled a bit more. It took way too many attempts, and he only managed after Bakugou had told him a couple tips. He used them well, but he just barely managed, only because Prince decided to copy King. He didn't feel like a failed, but he didn't feel like he accomplished either.
