On Sunday morning, Kirishima woke up a bit later than usual. He blames his phone for it, and because of that, he didn't even bother checking his morning notifications. He looked at the clock hung on the wall for the time, and he wasn't even shocked that it was nine thirty in the morning. He quickly got up, and got dressed in his riding clothes.
Today is an inevitable day, and whilst it is his last day, it is also the day where he has to do an obstacle race. It is much easier than what Bakugou made him do earlier in the week, but it was still exercise.
He went downstairs after cleaning his face a bit, he just threw some water on it, and served himself with some breakfast since he could. He joined Asui and Todoroki, and began eating a filling breakfast.
"Are you doing the obstacle race, Kirishima?" asked Asui, in between mouthfuls.
"I think so," he nodded. "I mean, for now it is just for laughs that I'm doing it, but I'm pretty sure Bakugou will want me to do it with him," he chuckled. "Plus, I didn't do it that well last year, so it would be nice to show my friends how much I've improved now," he grinned.
Todoroki nodded, then swallowed before he spoke. "You seem to want to do it too," he said.
"Ah, well, I guess," he shrugged. "I was embarrassed last year, but I don't mind it now," he smiled. "It is just an obstacle race, and it doesn't compare to what Bakugou made me learn these past six weeks, so it shouldn't be so hard to do," he said.
"I'm sure your friends are going to be proud of you," smiled Asui. "It isn't that hard to get better at horse riding, but it isn't that easy either. You need to put effort into it, and you definitely did," she said. "With Bakugou as your teacher, you definitely improved much faster than any of us."
"She's right," nodded Todoroki. "It took me two full years of lessons to be at your level. You just did twelve weeks in total with a huge break in between. I won't say Bakugou's teaching is amazing, but at least it is effective for certain people," he shrugged.
"Yeah," he nodded. "If I had a weaker spirit, I probably couldn't have handled it," he chuckled. "We're best friends now though, so he is kinder to me than he was before," he smiled.
They talked more about horses and different types of teachers and students, and eventually Kirishima finished eating. He stood up, and left after putting his dishes away and waving a goodbye at them.
He quickly made his way to the stables, and smiled as he found Bakugou looking around at his horses.
"Good morning," he greeted, grinning as Bakugou jumped a little at his sudden appearance.
"Ah- Go groom Prince and all. The event will be started in thirty fucking minutes, when all the parents are there, so we need to get ready," he said. "You woke up late again, didn't you?"
"Yeah, I did," he nodded. "It was on purpose this time though."
"That's not the fucking point- Anyway, let's get started," he shrugged, throwing a few brushes in Kirishima's direction.
He caught them, and then tried to sort through them for the curry comb. Once he got started, the two of them settled in an easy rhythm. They both stopped grooming around the same time, and then they even helped each other with the saddle straps, even though they both know they can do it by themselves.
"I don't want to fucking do this shit," grumbled Bakugou, once they were on their way to the outdoor manège where they'd be doing the obstacle course. "Do you even remember the order?" he asked.
