The rest of the week was good, and Kirishima didn't fall off his horse again. They practised several jumps, but they never went higher than the highest they had done on the first day, and Kirishima was grateful they didn't. He's better at jumping now, and he's glad to have Bakugou as his teacher since whilst he is impatient, he also gives good instructions to help him understand. He wouldn't say he's a pro at the jumps they've jumped, but he also wouldn't call himself a complete beginner at them now.
Sunday was a calm day, and Kirishima missed breakfast again. However, he did wake up just in time for lunch, and after it he disappeared in his room again so he can see any messages he's received from his friends. He didn't receive many, but once he replied to one, he got surprised by a video call.
"Ei!!" exclaimed Ashido, as soon as the call connected. "I'm sorry I couldn't come today," she pouted.
"Don't worry about it, Mina," he chuckled. "I'm sure you must be busy these days-"
"Nah. I received an invite to join Kyouka and Momo at their weekly tea parties, so I couldn't pass up the opportunity to hang out with my girls," she smiled. "It's later in the afternoon, so we have a couple hours before that," she said.
"Oh! I hope you enjoy yourself at the tea party then," he grinned. "I remember when I was first invited," he smiled. "I tasted a luxury tea, and I felt bad because I didn't like it, so I pretended to like it. The biscuits and cakes she made were amazing though," he said.
"You better not ever tell her you didn't like one of her teas," scolded Ashido, shortly. "I'm looking forward to talking with her," she said. "We haven't really gotten the time to see each other much, so yeah..."
"You say that, but you always meet up with her at least once a week," he said.
"True," she nodded. "I bet they all miss you," she smiled, standing up, and walking outside of her apartment. "Actually, Sero and Denki bragged a lot about having been able to see you, and now everyone is really sour about it," she laughed lightly. "Video calls really don't cut it, huh?" she sighed, jumping slightly when a door opened.
"Who's that?" he asked, trying to see if he see through the screen. Unfortunately, Ashido's camera didn't point in other direction than herself. "Is that... Denki?"
"Wha- Oh! Kirishima!" exclaimed Kaminari, grabbing Ashido's phone to direct the camera to himself. "What's up? You alone there? Bro, I wish I could drive-"
"It's not like you don't have a liscense," said Ashido, crossing her arms.
"Well, actually, unlike you, I don't steal my bro's car-"
"I borrowed it," she said.
"Yeah, same thing."
"At least I don't steal everyone's groceries," she said.
"I feel called out," said another voice.
"Satou! Bro! It's been so long!" exclaimed Kirishima, immediately recognising the voice.
"Kirishima? Hey, how's the summer camp treating you?" asked Satou, taking the phone from the arguing Kaminari and Ashido so he can talk to Kirishima directly. He angled the camera perfectly, so that the arguing duo are both behind him in sight.
"Not too bad," he smiled. "I still miss the city and my apartment, but I've become close friends with everyone, so it's good," he said. "I like riding horses now, and I enjoy learning more, so it really could be worst," he chuckled.
