He had wished countless times for time to slow down, for the seconds to drag into minutes, but unfortunately he can't control time, even with a wish. The week had passed too quickly, and whilst Bakugou did teach him the circle and the eight figures too briefly, it wasn't enough time for him to have fun. He had wanted to do so much, but Sunday sneaked upon them, and Kirishima woke up that morning with a stronger ache in his chest than the week before. He wished that he could have simply accepted that summer will end eventually. Maybe then it wouldn't be so hard to get up from bed, and get started on his day. The week had passed too quickly, and even a blink would be slower.
It was the last day, so when he got ready, he packed his things together, then went outside after he ate breakfast that was cooked by Asui. As he went outside, he could already see parents and his friends. The children were all excited, but some were more reluctant to go than others. Fortunately for them, they won't have to leave just yet.
He went over to his friends, and greeted them happily.
"Bro!" he exclaimed, seeing Kaminari and Sero. "Mina, Kyouka, Yaomomo!" he grinned, hugging all of his friends, and then letting go. "It's been so long," he chuckled.
"It has, hasn't it?" smiled Yaoyorozu. "We've all missed you, and I'm glad to see you are doing well. Mina has told me she was a bit worried about how you'll end up feeling when she first dropped you off here, but I suppose that this summer was really good for you," she said.
"Damn, it really has been," he chuckled, going over to the fence, where Ashido and he had first watched the obstacle race demonstration. "It's been a great six weeks," he said.
"Well, it's good to see you again," said Kyouka. "It's been a while, and Aizawa has almost been begging us to go and pick you up early. I think he's sick of us," she chuckled. "We're sorry that Satou and Tetsutetsu couldn't make it," she said. "They both had stuff to do, and unfortunately they couldn't cancel their plans," she shrugged.
"I think it's fine," he said. "I'll be seeing them soon, anyway," he smiled.
"True," she nodded. "Anyway, what are we waiting for?" she asked, looking over at the obstacles there. "Are they going to show us someone jumping?"
"Uh. Yeah," he nodded. "I'm pretty sure they are."
"Yaoyorozu?"
A different voice made itself known, and they all looked over to see who had spoken.
"Oh, Todoroki," stated Kirishima, waving at him.
"Todoroki? Oh, you've been here, then," said Yaoyorozu, blinking a couple times, then smiling. "It has been a while. How have you been?" she asked.
All of them quickly learned that Yaoyorozu and Todoroki had met at some event because of their parents, and Kirishima quickly learned that they have been friends for a while before they moved away from each other. As the two caught up, Kirishima's attention strayed as one of the kids came up to him and tugged his shirt. His friends awed while he tried to ignore them.
"What's up?" he asked.
"Hum... Uraraka asked me to go and get you," she said, her voice quiet as she shyly looked up to his friends.
"Oh! Then let's go," he grinned, grabbing her hand, and walking with her over to where Uraraka and the rest of the summer camp group was.
When Uraraka saw him, when smiled. "Oh good, you're here," she said. "You are going to be participating too," she announced.
"What. What?!"
"Fucking chill, Kirishima," said Bakugou, coming up to them while holding King in one hand, and Prince with the other. "I've prepared," he coughed slightly, "Prince Bomb Killer, here, for you," he said.
