Sunday began, and Kirishima woke up early and happy. He was so energetic that he actually was one of the first few to come down for breakfast, and then he was hanging out with Uraraka in the reception. Sunday meant that they didn't have work, and it also meant that the summer camp didn't really need to be looked after that much. Sunday also meant Kirishima didn't have to stress about being good at horse riding, and the risk of falling. He can always trip on his feet, but that's always funnier than falling off a horse.
"Do you know when Mina is supposed to be arriving?" he asked, swinging his legs back and forth while he sat on one of the chairs.
Uraraka shrugged from where she was typing away on her laptop. "She usually comes around ten or eleven," she said.
"Really?" he asked. "Did I always wake up so late before?" he hummed, looking at random cat videos on his phone. He swears one of the short clips is from Aizawa, but he has no proof.
"You always woke up around eleven."
"That's a lie."
"With the one exception of five in the morning," she said.
"I woke up earlier more times," he sighed. "It's the weekend, so what's there to really expect?" he asked.
"Nothing really," she smiled. "You must have been excited to wake up at normal time," she said.
"It's the first weekend, and the weekends are always fun," he said. "I wanted to be able to greet her as she arrives for once," he chuckled, smiling at one cat that knocked over a plastic cup and seemed shocked that it didn't break.
"She is definitely going to be happy about it," she said. "What are you watching?"
"Cat videos."
"Funny cat videos?" she asked.
"Yeah," he nodded. "I would watch funny dog videos, but our landlord has a bunch of cats that wonder in the hallways all the time, and he has convinced us with zero effort that cats are better than dogs," he said.
"Dogs are great though."
"I still really like dogs, but cats are entertaining for me these days," he said.
She hummed as she thought. "Dogs are entertaining all the time though," she said.
"Most of what they do is stick out their tongue and breathe loudly, and bark, and fetch balls and sticks," he said.
"Most of what cats do is lick themselves, mewls, drop fur everywhere, and demand food if they aren't skinning you alive," she said.
"They have their upsides, and downsides, both of them," he admitted.
She gave an approving nod, and then they just laughed as they realised their argument. They passed the time by either watching or listening to the videos Kirishima was playing from his phone, and eventually, the door to the reception was slammed by open, and followed by a loud exclaim.
"Hello!" exclaimed Ashido, grinning as she opened her arms wide to hug them.
"Mina!" they exclaimed, both hugging her. "How have you been this week?" he asked.
"Pretty good," she smiled. "Work has been easy, and no complaints from Aizawa, surprisingly," she said.
"Wow! That's pretty impressive," he said.
"I'm looking forward to him admitting that we really aren't that bad," she grinned as they backed away from the hug. "Are we continuing the shopping adventures?" she asked.
