One rainy night I came into this world, there was no sun shining bright, and no one who my fragile body wanted to hold.
You took care of us while you had to, but that day you said goodbye. Who are you? What's your name? How can I thank you for saving my life? Even though, sometimes I wish I weren't alive.
The nurses tenderly took care of me, they said I was a lovely baby who always shared a smile. As a team they took care of me and every other baby who was left behind, they were careful so I would know what it felt to be loved, to be desired.
Thanks to your selfless or maybe selfish act, I ended up in their loving arms. They chose me as they daughter and made sure my future was bright, in their embrace I knew I would be alright.
Still I think, still I wonder, who are you and why did we have to say goodbye? If you saw me, would you smile or would you cry?
Forever a mystery buried in my past, I'll just make sure your effort was worth it at last.
