When time freezes

They say time never stops for anyone, it flows and runs like the river to the sea.

However, they're wrong. Time does stop. It freezes within our hearts; making the gelid arms of nostalgia clench our very soul.

I can still feel the tender water caressing my skin as you walked. Your arms were my fortress, and your chest my shield.

The pool smiled because it knew a beautiful scene was unfolding, while the birds cried because they knew it was one of our last tokens of life.

Oh, how cruel and how sweet! The frozen minutes have opened holes within. I bleed tears, and cough up longing. Our scene together intact...so close and so far.

It is a beautiful tragedy, a tempestuous peace! The skin of my soul can still feel you, but when I reach with my ignorant fingers you're not there. You will never be.

That's the true nature of frozen time. Burning cold. Searing holes into our very chore. Untouchable and furtive.
