I was thankful when I woke up without a hangover. Even though I didn't drink too much, I was overjoyed that a headache didn't plague over me.

Lizzie, having gotten too drunk to drive home, ended up passed out next to me. When I woke and heard her snoring softly next to me, it was quiet possibly the most infuriating things I had ever witnessed in my life. Not because of her, but because I was an incredibly light sleeper and her snoring was what most likely waked me.

Either way, I was up.

My phone was what first caught my attention. I checked the time - almost ten - and then checked my email. Only a few from work, ones that could wait until after I fuel myself with a cup of coffee.

There were a few texts too.

RDJ💥
Are we still on for dinner?

I told him yes.

Check out what I've been studying lately!!

Attached to his text was a picture of himself, taking a selfie, while posing in front of various sharks. He was free diving again.

I smiled slightly and shaved the picture to my camera roll. Then I sent him a message back. That's going in the family album!! Stay safe, don't get eaten by jaws

Once the message was delivered, I locked my phone and sat up. Lizzie stirred for only a second but turned. She probably wouldn't wake up for a few more hours. She ended up drinking a lot last night.

Bird was sleeping comfortably by the door but at my movement, he lifted his head up and started to wag his tail.

"Wanna go for a walk?" I asked in a happy tone. The dog immediately picked up on it and jumped up, excited for what he knew was coming.

It only took me a minute to throw on a pair of leggings and a loose shirt. Then, because it was December, I did grab a light sweatshirt.

Before I went outside, I made myself a cup of coffee. It was very much needed. The air was cool when I stepped outside, but the sun was shining and the ocean waves were crashing into the sand beautifully. It was low tide and meant that Bird would have a great time smelling everything that had been stranded.

He was a good dog, trained well, and as soon as I let him off the leash, he took off towards the water. I chuckled softly at the happiness that overcame him. He loved the water just like I did.
