Coming back to Malibu was like moving in slow motion. The humidity and heat made everything seem like it moved in slow motion. It felt like I had been back for weeks, but in reality, it had only been a couple of days.

My grandparents were excited to see Sawyer and I back home safe and sound. Although, they were not happy about my current state of health. They were very upset that I had found myself pregnant again, and without a ring on my finger. They also stated very kindly that they still loved me, despite me earning a seat beside the devil in Hell.

It didn't bother me. Not at all.

Sebastian had told me that his mother was excited to hear about the news. She was ecstatic; apparently. And she had already told him she wanted to meet me. The news made me feel faintish.

Maybe it was the pregnancy that was doing this to me. I had forgotten how quickly you start to feel everything. My breasts had grown tender in a day and my stomach was always sick. The rooms were either too hot or too cold. It was awful.

Early July brought new waves of heat and humidity. It was terrible.

But it was finally the day of my first appointment and I was more than nervous about it. The timeline in my head made sense, I just needed it to be confirmed.

Sawyer was with Lizzie, because I was still upset with my grandparents, and I was left getting ready by myself.

My body hadn't changed physically yet. Although I did find in late night readings that I could possibly start showing earlier than my first. And I knew because of my height I carried out. So therefore, I would expect to find myself blow up like a balloon.

I hated the idea of it.

As I was looking at my stomach in the bathroom mirror, my phone started to ring. I pulled my shirt down and went to fetch the annoying device.

"Hey," I said to Sebastian through the phone.

"Hey Maevie, good morning."

"Morning to you too." I said and set the phone on speaker. After setting it down, I started to get dressed. "What's up?"

"I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch? I thought you could bring Sawyer."

My eyes widened slightly as I realized I didn't tell him the appointment was going to be today. "Um... actually, I have an appointment."

"Oh. Is it for the baby?"

I bit the inside of my cheek. "Yeah." It went silent in the other side of the line and I grew nervous. I started to change out of my pajamas. "Sebastian?"
