"Come on peanut, we are running late."

Sawyer was heavy in my arms as I lifted her out of the boaster seat that was strapped to the backseat of my car. My little girl was already squirming in my arms, anxious to be set free and run around with her friends.

I had spent the Saturday getting Lizzie sobered up and getting Sawyer ready for dinner tonight. That had taken up a majority of my day.

"Mama, I think I want to be a princess when I growed up."

"You can be whatever you want when you growed up." I told her with a smile. It only took me a second to lock my car, and then with her hand in mine, we walked up to the larger house.

"This can be my castle!" She yelled in excited.

"Actually, this is called a mansion." I said.

Sawyer looked at me with a scrunched up face, one that almost reminded me of my mother. "No way, I know what a castle is. You can't fool me."

I laughed at her words and decided against arguing with the four year old. I didn't have the time nor the energy to today. Not after dealing with Lizzie's grumpiness. She could be such a child sometimes.

It was Susan that opened the front door for us, and the wide smile on her face was a refreshing sight to see.

Sawyer thought so too, because she dropped my hand and gave the older woman a hug. "Hi Susie, guess what, you live in a castle."

Susan laughed as she picked up the little girl. "Do I? I guess that means I must be a Queen."

I smiled at the interaction and then noticed Robert walking behind Susan. "Hey, you guys are late."

"Four year olds." Was my only reply as I went to give him a hug hello.

"Don't I know it." He muttered. I knew he was exhausted by his own children. Exton could be a handful, and Avri being so little didn't help.

"How was the drive?" Susan asked. I shut the door behind me and we started to make our way into the house.

"It was good. The construction over on Rose Avenue is almost done. You know how's moving in?"

"No idea, but I guess we'll find out soon enough." Robert said.

Susan our Sawyer done. "Exton is in the playroom."
