Sebastian was very quiet as we left the doctor's office. He followed closely behind me but paid attention to the sonogram in his hands. My copy was in my purse.

The sun was beating down and I started to grow ridiculously hot in the shorts and t-shirt I was wearing. When I got to my car I pulled my hair up into a pony tail.

"Did you still wanna get lunch?" I asked him. My eyes settled on him as he still was engrossed in the picture. "Seb?"

"Huh?"

"Did you still wanna get lunch?"

"Yeah, yeah. Sorry. Can you show me again where it is?"

I smiled and walked to him, carefully looking at the picture and showing him where the fetus was in it. "It's about the size of a pea."

"It's so small." He mumbled. "I can't believe this."

"I know." I smiled, "But lunch. I'm pregnant and starving."

He looked up at me and nodded, like he was realizing for the first time that I was here. "What do you want? You craving anything yet?"

"Not right now. But I could go for pizza. Did you, uh, still want to bring Sawyer?"

"Yeah, I do." Sebastian said. "I think it would be good."

"Yeah, she needs to get used to you being around." I said; even though I still wasn't completely onboard with the idea of it. "She's at Lizzie's in the city though. I guess we can eat there."

"Okay, I'll follow you." He gave me a kiss before telling me to be careful, and then we separated.

The drive into LA was surprisingly painless. Instead of the copious amount of traffic plaguing the highways it wasn't that terrible. Maybe it was because it was a work day.

Sebastian followed me all the way to Lizzie's place, but waited in the car when I went in to get my daughter.

Lizzie greeted me with a hug and asked how the doctor appointment, and after talking to her for too long and promising to hang out soon, I took Sawyer and we left.

My little girl was much too excited to be going out to eat.

We did get pizza after all, and after taking almost fifteen minutes trying to find a parking spot, I ended up paralleling on one of the busier streets.
