Charlotte POV

Jake looked at me, concern etched on his face. "Birthday Girl, are you alright? What's wrong? What is it?"

For the second time that night, well morning, I looked up at him as my cheeks turned a dark shade of red. "Um...I... I think I'm at the wrong room," I said embarrassed, "Well actually, right room wrong floor."

He looked down at me, another genuine smile flashes across his face. "And here I was, thinking you were here to see me. I'm hurt Birthday Girl."

I chucked softly at his words, shaking my head slightly. "I'm really embarrassed right now. I'm so sorry for waking you up, this was really just an accident. I really am sorry, and now I'm rambling and I'm just going to go now. Sorry again Jake."

Once I finished my rant, I started speed walking to the elevator trying to get away from this situation. I heard the door close behind me, but then I heard footsteps.

"Birthday Girl, wait!"

I kept speed walking and finally got to the elevator, and hit the button, still hearing footsteps. I got in and saw Jake round the corner, out of breath.

"At least... at least tell me your name." He said, as the doors started to close.

"Charlotte. My name is Charlotte." I replied, just before the doors closed. "Jake" I whispered to myself, as the doors opened on my floor.

I couldn't help but smile the entire elevator ride and walk to my room. Then it hit me just how much I embarrassed myself, and let me tell you, I was mortified. When I got back to the room, I realized Ashley had propped the door open for me, and gone back to bed. I went in and grabbed my suite case, trudging to the bathroom to get ready for bed.

I washed off my makeup, brushed my teeth to get the smell of alcohol off my breath, and throw my hair in a messy bun, all while thinking about Jake. It's weird how I couldn't get a stranger out of my head, but here I am, doing exactly that. I slowly climbed into bed, looking at the clock realizing that it was 5am, and dreading how I would be feeling when I woke up.

I lifted my head off the pillow, and the headache I had was miserable. I looked around the room to see that I was alone, but there was a note, a bottle of aspirin, and a glass of water sitting on the bedside table. "Figured you'd need your sleep, didn't want to wake you. We'll be at the pool when you're ready!"

I smiled to myself at how thoughtful they were, took the medicine, and headed to the shower to wash last night off of me. Once I had gotten out of the shower, put on my swimsuit, and headed towards the pool, it was already 1:30pm. Walking towards the elevator and answering texts on my phone, I felt so loved!

There were tons of texts, Facebook posts, and Snapchats wishing me a happy birthday and asking how the trip was going. I was so busy smiling at my phone and replying, I hadn't even realized the elevator had made it to the main floor! I made my way towards the pool, and spotted my friends sitting in lounge chairs on the other side. They waved me over, happy that I was finally awake.

"Hey birthday girl, how you feeling?" Sarah asked me with a smile, while the other two girls laughed.

"Actually, I feel pretty great, thanks to the aspirin!" I replied with a chuckle.

"Good then drink up!" Jenny said handing me a White Claw. Well, I guess I'm going to have to rally, I thought as I took the drink out of her hands.

"So what happened to you last night?" Sarah asked.

I cringe at the thought, and then I filled them in. On the whole night, from when I met Jake at the bar, to what we talked about while we were dancing, and then in the hotel. I found myself getting distracted by the memories, and didn't even realize I was smiling the entire time I was talking. By the time I got to the end, my friends were dying of laughter.

"I can't believe....I can't believe that ended up being his room!" Sarah said, barely being able to say the sentence without laughing.

Once they had calmed down, we were all lounging by the pool, drinking, when Ashley sat straight up. "Wait, he followed you all the way to the elevator just so he can ask what your name was?"

I looked at her confused, "Yeah he did, why?"

"He's totally into you!"

"That's exactly what I was thinking!" Sarah yelled, jumping into the conversation.

"What? There's no way! He doesn't even know me," I shouted, "I literally just learned his name!"

Ashley shook her head, giving me small smirk, while I silently hoped that she was right.
