Charlotte POV

I woke up to the sound of my alarm at 9:30am, and while I thought I would be angry and exhausted, I wasn't. I woke up excited, and ready for my day with Jake. My friends on the other hand were not as happy as I was to hear my alarm.

They greeted me with, "Charlotte! Turn it off!" "What the hell Char?" "Are you kidding me?"

"Well good morning to you guys too," I muttered, gathering my things to go shower.

If you were wondering why my friends were so grumpy this morning, it's because they each had a late night of their own. When I got back to room, no one was there, and that was a little after 3:00am. I woke up at 4:15 to Sarah sneaking back into the room, and then again at 4:45 to Ashley and Jenny coming back.

I didn't complain when they woke me up, so why are they complaining now?

As I was walking to the bathroom, Jenny yelled out, "What are you even doing up anyway?"

"Well," I said, turning around, "I'm going to spend the day with Jake." After hearing that, they all shot up in their beds.

"What?! It's our last day here!" Sarah whined, while putting a sad look on her face.

"I know, I'm sorry! But he asked, and I couldn't say no. We'll be back in time for dinner, and for us to go out tonight. Plus, our plane doesn't leave until 3 tomorrow, so we can stay out late tonight."

I felt a little guilty for leaving them, but that went away when Ashley said, "That's okay! We can make plans with the rest of the guys."

I sent her a look, to thank her for saving me, but I also know she was saying that just so she could hang out with Kyle. Those two seemed to be getting along really well, as did Jenny and Aiden. I wasn't too sure about Sarah and Caleb, but we'll just have to see how that plays out.

Once I was out of the shower, I started to get ready for the rest of my day. I realized that Jake didn't tell me what we were doing today, so I didn't know how to dress. Groaning, I picked up my phone to send him a text, hoping he would let me in on what the plans are.

Me: Hey, so what are we doing today?

Jake: I'm not telling you because it's a surprise.

Me: But if you don't tell me, I won't know what to wear!

Jake: Dress casual. I'm sure you'll look great in whatever you wear. See you in an hour!

I felt my cheeks heat up as I set my phone down and rummaged through my suitcase.

"So what are you guys doing?" Jenny asked curiously.

"I honestly don't know. He told me it was a surprise, and to dress casual."

"Aw, that's so exciting! You'll have to update us on what you guys do!"

"You know I will! I'll have my phone on my, so send me updates on what you guys are doing too! I'm sure whatever you do will be fun. Those guys could make anything fun," I said with a smile. I put on my red Cardinals tank top, with my white athletic shorts and Adidas tennis shoes. He said casual, and this was definitely casual.

I left hair down in soft curls, but had a ponytail on my wrist in case I needed it. While I was putting mascara on when there was a knock on the door. I quickly went to the nightstand, took my phone off the charger, and looked at my friends.

"Have fun!" Sarah said, while Ashley chimed in, "Not too much fun." I rolled my eyes and headed towards the door.

I swung open the door to see Jake standing there, and I let out a small chuckle. He was wearing tennis shoes, white athletic shorts, and a Cubs t-shirt. Well, I guess my outfit was perfect for whatever he has planned.

He looked at me with a smile, and said, "There's that rivalry again. You ready to go?"

"Yeah, let's go." I said, closing the door and heading towards the elevator.

As we got in, I asked him, "So, when can I know what we're going to do today?"

"You can know when we get to our first stop."

As we stepped out the elevator, I couldn't help but feel excited about the day, wondering what Jake had planned. We got into an Uber, and we made light conversation as we headed towards our first destination. Once the driver had stopped, I got out of the car and my jaw dropped. If this was our first stop, I had no doubt that the rest of the day would be fun.
