Charlotte POV

When I was done hugging my friends, I made my way over to the guys. Ryder picked me up, spinning me around.

"Are you freaking kidding me Char?! You were great!" he said as he finally decided to put me down.

"You really were awesome, that is definitely not what I was expecting," Mason added, while Caleb said, "What do you do, rap in your free time?!"

I just laughed at all of them, saying thank you and smiling. I looked up at Jake, who just had an amused look on his face. I was really happy that I was getting along with his friends so well. They were really fun to hang out with, and definitely made this trip better.

My face kind of fell when I realized that in two days we wouldn't see them again, but I hoped that because we had each other's contact information that we would be able to stay in touch. I shook that thought out of my head, just wanting to enjoy the moment.

After my performance, we decided to stay at the club for a little while longer. I went up to the bar to get another drink, when a familiar someone came up next to me. I turned my head, and looked at him, saying, "We really need to stop meeting this way."

He laughed and shook his head, and once he was done laughing, we both ordered our drinks. "Well, that was really something up there," he said with a smirk, "I definitely didn't expect that."

I immediately blushed, "Yeah, well I guess I'm full of surprises."

"You definitely are," he said while smiling at me.

When the bartender set our drinks down, I immediately handed him my card, telling him that I was paying for both. Jake looked at me and began to argue, but soon realized that he wasn't going to win.

"You paid for my dinner, the least I can do is buy you a drink. I'd probably have to buy you five drinks to equal that amount."

"I told you, that was a gift," he whined.

"Well, then consider the drink a gift."

"It's not my birthday!"

"Well... then consider it a gift for being you." With that, I made my way back to the rest of the group.

We stayed at the club until probably 2:00 am, and then decided we wanted to head back to the hotel. While we were walking back, I heard my stomach grumble. I needed to eat, and fast. As we got back to the hotel, and I saw one of my favorite signs: Shake Shack. There was a Shake Shack in St. Louis, and it was one of my favorite restaurants back home. I stopped and looked at my friends, asking if any of them were hungry. They all replied with no, and I turned to the guys,

"Well what about you guys?" A majority of them said no, except for two. "I'll go with you!" Jake said, while Ryder chimed in and said, "I can always eat!"

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kyle shove and elbow into Ryder's ribs, giving him a look. "Actually, all of a sudden, I'm not hungry!"

Ashley turned to me and said, "You guys can go eat, and we'll go to the casino in the hotel. Once you guys are done, you can meet us there!"

I gave her a nod, and the group headed towards the hotel. I looked at Jake, "You ready for the best meal of your life?" I asked, and he nodded in excitement as we made our way across the street.

When we got to the counter, I ordered a hamburger, cheese fries, and a cookies n' cream milkshake.

"All right, and what can I get for you?" the worker asked Jake in a flirtatious voice.

"I'll just have the same thing she's having," he said with a smile, handing her his card before I could even get mine out. She swiped the card, and said our buzzer would go off whenever our food was ready.

I smiled and said "Thank you," while she just rolled her eyes in response.

We walked to the other side of the restaurant and found a booth to sit in. We both slid into the booth, and I playfully scowled at him.

"Consider it a gift," he said, knowing exactly what I was thinking.

I clicked my phone, showing him the time, "Well it's not my birthday anymore!"

A small smile appeared on his face, and he seemed to immediately forget the play argument we were having. "Do you want to play a game?" he asked, a serious tone in his voice.

Immediately I thought of the Saw movies, and picture that puppet in my head. I shook the thoughts, answering the question. "What kind of game?"

"Well, it's simple," he said, "We each get to ask each other five questions, and we have to be completely honest with our answers."

I looked at him skeptically, "Well, how would I know if you're lying? I've only known you for a day."

"I guess you're just going to have to trust me," he replied, with a wide smile overtaking his face. Something in my gut told me that I could trust him. Usually, I'm not very open with strangers, but even though I had just known Jake for a day, I was really interested to know more about him.

My curiosity won, and I answered, "Sure. Let's play." Right after I answered, our buzzer went off, and Jake went to go pick up our food, leaving me to wonder what I had just gotten myself into.
