Jake POV

After dinner, we were heading towards the club when Charlotte asked us to stop. She went over to this ledge, just staring at the Bellagio hotel. Ryder started to complain when we were standing there for three minutes, no surprise because of how impatient he is. His complaint was cut short when the lights came on, and the fountains started to shoot water into the air.

The fountains were synced to music, and in all honesty, it was incredible. All of our friends took out their phones to take a video, and I did the same. As I looked to my left, I saw Charlotte with a huge smile plastered on her face, leaning over the ledge, caught up in the show. I cut my video short, and switched it to my camera.

I turned my body, and snapped a picture of Charlotte. With the lights illuminating her face, and her huge smile, she looked effortlessly beautiful.

Once the show was over, we made our way to the club. The girls immediately went up to the bar to get a drink. We saw an empty spot on the other side of the bar, and we stood there hoping to get served quickly.

I looked over at Charlotte, wondering what was happening to me. I just found myself attracted to her, like a magnet. And yes, there was obviously a sexual attraction, but that's not what I wanted. What I wanted more than anything was to get to know her. As I was looking at her and her friends, the bartender approached them.

When he turned away to get their drinks, her friends nudged her and started saying stuff. I could only assume the bartender was flirting with her, and I immediately stiffened, feeling myself getting angry. Why was I angry? I had no right to be angry.

He then brought her over a drink and a shot, taking the shot with her. Caleb, seeing what was happening, turned to me and put his hands on both of my shoulders. Seeing that I was still glaring at the bartender, he sad, "Calm down man, we're going to have fun tonight," and I could only hope that he was right.

Knowing that I was upset, Caleb suggested that we stay at the bar for a little while to have a couple more drinks and calm my nerves. As we were at the bar, I heard the DJ say something about karaoke, but I disregarded it while I ordered another drink.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Charlotte, Sarah, and Jenny in what seemed to be a heated discussion, but I just focused on my drink and chatting with Caleb. The next time I looked over, they weren't at the bar, but on the dance floor instead, with the rest of our friends. Caleb and I each ordered one more, and then headed to the dance floor.

Even though some of these karaoke singers were terrible, we were having a good time. Next thing I know, I heard the DJ say, "All right, great job. Let's give it up for our next singer Charlotte! Charlotte turned 21 today, show her some love y'all!"

My head snapped to Charlotte, and she looked terrified. I couldn't help but laugh as my friends lifter her up on stage. She looked at me, and I smirked back, getting out my phone ready to record whatever was about to happen.

The beat to Ice Ice Baby came on, and I saw her relax a little bit. And then, I watched her rap every single word to that song. I'm not kidding when I tell you it was one of the best raps I've ever heard, and it was also super attractive. She was killing it, and she knew she was, so she had this confidence radiating off of her. While I was watching her, I couldn't help but think to myself, "She's so different." She is so different than any girl I have ever met, and I think that's why I want to get to know her so badly.

She came off stage, and her friends immediately engulfed her in a hug. When she got over to us, my friends all praised her. I was so happy with how impressed they were by her. They liked her just as much as I did, and that seemed like a really good thing. When I saw her head towards the bar, I followed her.

"Well, that was really something up there. I definitely didn't expect that."

"Yeah, well I guess I'm full of surprises." "You definitely are," I said to her, excited about all of the surprising things I could learn about her.

When we got back to the hotel, Charlotte asked if any of her friends were hungry. They all said no, so when she turned to us, I obviously jumped at the chance to go eat with her. Unfortunately, Ryder did as well. When I sent him a glare, and Kyle elbowed him in the ribs, I think he finally understood what we were getting at.

"Actually, all of a sudden, I'm not hungry!" I rolled my eyes at him, as if to say, "Could you make it any more obvious?"

When the others were gone, Charlotte and I headed towards Shake Shack. Let me tell you, I have never seen a girl more excited about food. We went up to the counter to order, and she asked for a burger, cheese fries, and a cookies n' cream milkshake. Nothing I like more than a girl with an appetite. All of that sounded good, so I ordered the same thing. After I paid, and the worker was extremely rude to Charlotte, we sat down in the booth.

That was when my curiosity got the best of me, and I asked, "Do you want to play a game?"
