Chapter 2 
Changing Point​

“How was it Tian? Heard the news you got caught to get married with Muey.” Pariwat laughed at the strange thought of the relatives. Even though it’s just a funny matter that no one think will really happen, but as tian had many people teased him a lot it’s starting to get annoying. “Go ahead and laugh you’ve drifted into it already.” He taunted the groom since he got back with his old girlfriend until they got married. These two are close to each other closer than a sticky candy. Between him and Pariwat, there has never been a time where they called each other P or Naung (older brother/ younger brother) Their only two years apart they make it like their close friends instead. Pariwat can only smile without saying anything but that happy pleased face is a good reply. Sitting down and sipping beer with his younger brother like normal siblings would do made his feelings drift and keeps turning to look for someone. No matter how much he wants to stay, Monwatoo pushed him to interact with the relatives who’s taking a long rest at the resort because they came far to come for their wedding. Tianwat looked at his older brother and was at ease he knows Monwatoo since university days. They went to school together and went through a lot of ups and downs. No matter how much time has passed long ago, in the end, they have to go through many obstacles to be back together to be with each other forever. ‘And what about him? When will he have that day?’ “Honestly, it’s not like it’s bad. I see you’re not willing to have a girlfriend at all.” The person who has a similar face said smiling. Speaking of resemblance, Pariwat and Tianwat are alike until people get confuse who’s the oldest and who’s the youngest. If you split them apart, personalities are different. Buriwat is warm hearted, smiles easily, and is friendly, but Tianwat is still and so difficult till no one dares to go bother him. And to add one thing again, this person isn’t blood related to them but the face came and smack him and Pariwat with a basket. It seems like she’s making her status as a new married couple. “So mean” Tianwat stared and sipped his beer.“ Now that you’re married how is it? Does it feel like your life is better? He thought of wanting to know because he’s never felt a life like that. To have someone come and take care of each other every time. “Umm..I still have to adjust to it. Look at Mon she’s still confused that we’re married.” Pariwat smiled as he thought of everything Monwatoo asked after he kind of strike her with lightning caught her to get married until she couldn’t get ready in time (she asked so many questions until she didn’t get ready in time) ‘Ri, what do we do after we’re married?’ She meant how are they going to live together. In those beautiful eyes of hers, he already belongs to her but has a small worry about starting a new life and forming a perfect family. Mon is like this when the world has given them problems she thinks of it often. As she asked him like that, he didn’t know how to reply because he never married anyone besides her only. But what he’s sure about is that, his life has changed from used to being by himself and doing everything alone. From now on every morning he wakes up, there’s someone to hug, say I love you to, to have someone worry and care for him all the time no matter where he’s at or what’s he doing. From use to going to work all the time, his life now has a purpose everything is for the happiness of Mon ’the woman who’s cute and smiles sweetly in this entire world. (Awww my feels ) Pariwat smiles happily before his younger brother’s takes care of his single self as if its a religion. “As you get married, you’ll feel better than being single, you need to try looking for someone.” Even though he knows no one can force his little brother, especially opening up and finding someone but something came up and motivated him to ask. “Tian, what if one day you really have to marry Muey what will you say?” At that, Tianwat stared at his brother not satisfied. “Ri don’t speak so vaguely like that.” Over a year has passed already since his older brother’s wedding Tianwat is working facing with the pollution in Bangkok. His brother called to tell he had taken Mon on a vacation. The previous times he took her across the shore in Laos and went to a prefecture in China. It seems like this lovely couple wont stop traveling that easily their going to travel the whole world together. As for him, he’s the same. He’s still working and is the most busiest in the company. “Tian,when are you done shop drawing?” “When you’re done running your mouth and help do it.” The voice said calmly till his who bothered friends can realize. The dark eyebrows on his face frowning his lip folded together as he’s thinking his eyes staring at the drawing of the design with other architects who’s been working in circles because the engineers needs the design by today. As he’s busy all day, his phone has been going off nonstop. Tianwat looked at his phone and it’s from the same number. He didn’t answer and ignored it because it’s from the same person. He still has to finish the design so he can go to his relatives wedding at the waterfront hotel. His mom and aunt Pa are coming down together from Phuket. After sending the design to the engineers, he continued to drive to the wedding. As work ended, its evening already. The half old half new Japanese car is taking the driver back home. Muey didn’t come back with him because she wanted to stay at the hotel with her mom. The house is more quiet than usual there’s only Ohyua (Muey’s dog) who came and greeted him instead of his owner who’s still not lacking. The young man went to get something to eat from there he showered then went to bed. He hasn’t been able to sleep for many days because of work. He finally was able to sleep soundly. The next morning he didn’t have to get up early because it’s a Saturday. He was going to go back to sleep but heard loud noises downstairs ‘Muey is back already.’ He got up and sat on the bed a for a bit then went to wash his face and brush his teeth and went downstairs. “Good morning.” The voice clearly said. He always see’s her in the same apron in the kitchen. Muey is in the kitchen stirring one of the pots on the stove. The rice is already on the table another two plates are done. Muey is good at doing house work and cooking, and she’s been helping her mom since she was young. There are times where she doesn’t sleep at the house, but she always have food prepared and ready in the fridge because she knows he’s a difficult eater. Sometimes her food isn’t to his taste, so he goes out to a nearby restaurant to eat. Tianwat walked to see what’s there to eat and then went to sit down at his desk in the living room near the TV. He turned it on to watch the news and continue with unfinished work. The person who has a ladle in her hands thought it was funny to tease the person who just woke up and is not willing to talk to her. “What is this? You’re not answering like this you’re still embarrassed of me right?” “Embarrassed about what?” It worked. This time, Tianwat was fooled and is willing to open his mouth to talk normally. Whenever he wakes up, he’s never in the mood to talk nicely with anyone. “Well, the story that the aunts were saying about us.” Tianwat is confused for a while wondering what it is. The person asking smiled as she saw him making a questioning face then teased him more. “Ha! See you’re embarrassed were you thinking of having a thing with me?” She said it herself and laughed by herself until Tianwat just thought the relatives are at it again telling him and Muey should get married. He then replied seriously. “I am thinking it. Still thinking what good to stuff in that mouth.” ‘Causing problem so he can smack her head in the morning.’ As for the person in the kitchen, she’s laughing alone as she teased to play around. “Honestly asking, when are you going to bring a girlfriend home? And when are you going to act like an adult?” The cook of the house asked while serving him a bowl of hot curry on the table in front of the TV. “Why? Wanna flirt.” Tianwat said to get on her nerves. She laughed, but she wasn’t done and walked up close to him. “I’m not trying to start anything with you honestly. At the reception, there’s people coming up to me asking have you ever brought someone home or not, so I told them no he hasn’t. They didn’t believe me and said I was helping you keep it hidden. If you don’t like girls then you like boys?...oob!” The thick hands grabbed the wooden dowel and shoved it in the mouth of the person who’s talking too much so there could be silence. “When are you going to stop talking? So annoying.” Tianwat said in a low voice. The round innocent eyes stared back instead as if saying ‘fine I’ll go...’ “Wait...” she didn’t get to take three steps he called her again. “You can go but leave that thing here” Tianwat told her while swinging his finger asking for what’s still in her mouth. But she’s in bad mood and continued to walk away not easily willing to do as told. Tianwat suddenly got up and rushed toward her to get the wooden dowel from the mouth of the person who’s acting like the same kind as Ohyua. They were playing around like brother and sister. As he was able to get it from her, he smacked her head as a reward. Tianwat turned to look at his wooden dowel and is angry as he see’s many teeth marks on it. He hits her again on the head till Muey cried out loud. “Why are you messing around at a time like this?” Tianwat scolded. “So mean!” She’s still throwing fit. He turned to look for something to hit her with, so she hurriedly went into the kitchen and continued to serve more plates for him. Tianwat thought. He’s displeased that today his mom and aunt Pa wasn’t willing to take Muey on vacation too if so his world would be more nice and quiet. Tianwat is working late in the afternoon until his hand stopped because the sound from his phone, which he doesn’t know where he left it, has been going off. He didn’t get up in time to look for it Muey ran and gave it to him. “You left it in the kitchen last night.” As Tian reached for it to see who it was, he didn’t care and went back to work. His phone rang again and ignored it then it rang 2 to 3 times again, and he end up answered because it was bothering him. “Hello.” The voice answered sounding annoyed and not hiding it. “Tian...” The sweet voice sound excited and happy hearing the voice she’s been thinking of. “I don’t know where you got my number from, but we agreed to not contact each other right?” His voice was the same calm and stern no different from when they were at the condo. Even though they had an agreement, she’s not willing to stop. “I’m sorry, but I love you. I love you a lot.” She said with a trembling voice. “We’ve only met once. You still don’t know me well. How can you love me?” As he asked her back, she couldn’t find the answer but Tianwat knows well that this woman is obsessed with him till she’s willing to throw away her own pride. “I say we should just end it here. It’s gone this far we shouldn’t see each other again it’s better that way because the one that will be having a problem following is not me but it’s you.” He warned her before she can say anything further. “Though you don’t care for me i won’t say anything but please I beg you. I want to see you again just once it’ll be the last time.” The beautiful woman’s obsession took over until she’s insane. She hasn’t been able to eat or sleep because she’s been thinking about Tianwat, and she’s dying to see him. As for Tianwat, he’s just quiet and still. “Can I? Come see me for the last time, and I won’t ask anything else from you again.” She begged again as if she’s dying. In the end, he agreed to see her but under one condition. “Can you promise me If I go see you, you have to stop contacting me again.” Tianwat said firmly. “Of course I promise.” She replied excitingly. She’s finally able to see the owner of the face she’s been longing to see and can’t seem to forget even in her dreams. Just this once only to end the problem. Tianwat got up to change and then grabbed his car keys. As he’s leaving, he sees Muey giving her dog a bath. “Muey watch over the house I’m going out.” “P’Tian where are you going? She said looking up at him smiling even though they recently argued this morning. ‘Has she ever been mad at someone before’ Tianwat stared at her. She’s all soaked because she’s just playing with Ohyua. Even though time has passed, in his eyes, Muey is still a kid. “So where are you going?” All she can do is ask. If he doesn’t answer then he doesn’t answer but she won’t give up so easily. “Aye, no response which means you’re secretly going out on a date with a girl. When you’re free, bring her to the house and treat her. I’ll cook for my sister in law myself.” Tianwat stayed still, but his eyes turned to look at Ohyua who’s looking at his owner who brought him and raise him. “Are you giving a dog a bath or is the dog giving a human a bath?” She’s all soaked. The dog shook himself and got Muey all soapy and wet. “Hey Ohyua!” The sound of her wailing echoes in his head. Tianwat admits sometimes when he doesn’t hear Muey’s loud voice, he can’t fall asleep. () Tianwat is staring at Muey who’s play with Ohyua happily. Muey is laughing and smiling like she’s never been through any hardships in her life. As she’s been scolded, she’s only mad for a bit and later she’s happy again, and talks to him immediately. He lets her be and as for him he continues to walk towards the car. “P’Tian drive safely and hurry back. Aunt Jee will be back tonight.” Even though she hugging Ohyua, the young lady in this house is still considerate waving bye as he starts the car and drove away. Tianwat stares at her in the side mirror before starting the car and driving off without knowing that danger awaits him, and it’s an important change of his lifetime.
