"I really don't want to enter his class." Anima can't stop complaining. She was smitten by the looks of Mr. Carnis yet she doesn't want to listen to what he teaches.

"Yes, he's handsome but I can't even grasps anything from his discussion. His words are so deep that I could not keep up. And he always calls me in class." She added.

Contrary to Anima, I like how Mr. Carnis talks about the reality of things. Yes they are deep. I like how he could tickle my mind and let me think beyond things. I like the thought-provoking questions he throws. Ahhh...over all I like it.

So I just let Anima runs her rants about Mr. Carnis. Even though we're friends, I know that we have different views about things.

"Okay class, good morning." Mr. Carnis greeted us with his stiff facial expression.

He immediately set the mood of the class. He is a person that easily gets the attention of his students by merely talking. I wouldn't doubt it because he speaks with so much conviction and depth.

As I am listening to the discussion, I caught in my peripheral the entrance of Lex through the back door. His eyes were red - and I know the reason why - because he cried. But as to the reason why he cried, that, I do not know.

There is an urge in me to go and talk to him, but who am I to even disrupt him? I know he wouldn't mind to know me. He wouldn't mind to even look at me, a lowly ordinary girl.

"Why are we here?" I heard Mr. Carnis' question but it couldn't sink in to my mind. I'm way too distracted of Lex's presence. I could not get ahold of his emotion and what he thinks. As if he is a blank slate too cold and empty to read.

"To answer that, I need to group you into four. You may choose whoever you want to be with." Mr. Carnis stated. "You have to search the answer to the question I have posted in whichever method you want." He added.

As soon as Mr. Carnis fire his signal to find groups, my classmates disperse as fast as lightning. A couple of minutes only, they already have their own groups. And only the three of us - Lex, Anima, and I - were not able to form a group. I guess that leaves us with no choice but to be a group. Me and Anima approached Lex.

"Would you mind to form a group with us?" Anima initiatively invited Lex.

"Well, I wouldn't mind. As if I have any other options to begin with." Lex sarcastically replied.
"Alright!!! Then we're good. But only the three of us?" I asked.

"Okay...I guess, everybody has already formed a group." Mr. Carnis Stiffly stated.

"Sir! We're missing one member!" Shouted Anima.

"Okay, since I am also in search of this question...I'll join you in your endeavor." Everyone were shocked as Mr. Carnis concluded that.

"Well, I'm not just your teacher here. In fact, I am also your co-journeyer in learning - I am also your classmate since I still have a lot to learn." Wow! Cool! I don't think Mr. Carnis is capable of saying such a cool statement.

I saw Anima almost dropped her jaw as she was still processing what Mr. Carnis have just stated.

"Okay...you may meet with your groupmates." Mr. Carnis said.

So the room was resonated by the oozing murmurs from my classmates as they move to group with one another.

"Ahhh...uhm...".

The four of us - Mr. Carnis, Anima, Lex and I seem to be in an awkward situation. No one wants to start any conversation. Even Mr. Carnis who is supposedly going to facilitate this meeting haven't said anything.

"Aren't we going to talk? Are we going to stay like this until the period ends?" Cut by Anima. I'm a little proud that she's able to control this awkward situation.

I know she's a little dimwit, but I think it's an advantage in this kind of scenario.
"Let's just wrap it for now. Maybe we could talk about it over a coffee?" Mr. Carnis then ended the meeting.
