II.
"Lex could you hand me the hook" Mr. Carnis asks.

As soon as we arrived, we already started setting the tents. We arrived at around two in the afternoon. I like it how there seems to be a path shaded with tress - actually a path with trees as a rail. It is majestic! It is ineffable!

I handed to Mr. Carnis the hook. We set up three tents for us. Anima and Psyche will stay together in one tent, Mr. Carnis and I would be in the other two tents. I ask him if we could be in separate since I'm not used to sharing my personal space to someone. We put our tents by the riverside so that it would be an easy access for any emergencies or worst case scenarios because at the other side of the river, we could see a residence home.

"Okay, it's finish!" claims Mr. Carnis.

Anima and Psyche smiled widely as they see the tents. They seem excited. I also am feeling excited but I couldn't help but to be wary. There might be something that'll happen.

Lex, let's go and find some logs for the bonfire. It's getting darker so it would be okay if we get here before it gets dark" says Mr. Carnis.

"Okay sir" I replied.

"While you're looking for logs, we're going to preps the food. So that if you come back, we are ready to eat" says Psyche.

"Thank you for that then," says Mr. Carnis.

While heading into the heart of the forest, Mr. Carnis asks something which caught me off guard.

"You don't believe my reason in coming here, don't you?" Mr. Carnis asks.

"What do you mean sir?" I replied although I am already aware of where he is getting at.

"Here we go again, could we just focus on our statements' primary meaning?" he annoyingly replied but smiling.

"Excuse me sir, with due respect, I learned from your discussion before that there is more to the words we say; that there is something more in every statements, unless you don't mean it that way" I replied.

"So, you're using my own words against me now?" he answered.

"No sir, I don't mean it that way. It's just that I really find your lectures to be full of wisdom" I hesitatingly replied.

"Ahh, you're too much in love with Sophia" says Mr. Carnis.

I was shocked at what he uttered. I technically dropped my jaw and gazed widely at him.

"Ah, sorry. My fault. Sophia is the Greek term for wisdom" apologetically says Mr. Carnis.

He might have seen my weird reaction to what he said so he offered his apology.

I looked down and said "ah-uhm- it's okay." I just thought you're making fun of me."

Mr. Carnis laughed and said "why would I? As far as I remember, we are not that close to throw jokes with each other."

"But - -" he cut what he is about to say.

"But?" I asks

"But, there is something with your reaction that puzzles me" says him.

"What could it be?" I replied. I can't help but to ask myself...does he know something? Do I make something obvious to him? Does he know Sophia? But I think it would be impossible, unless she's his student.

"Nothing! Maybe I'm just overreacting." Says Mr. Carnis.

I nodded.

"I think this is already enough, shall we go back?" says Mr. Carnis.

"Okay sir. But would it be okay if you go ahead? I would like to go around first." I ask.

"But it would be dangerous. And it is also getting dark" he worriedly replied.

"It's okay sir. I'll be fine. I could take care of myself so don't worry" I assured him.

"Are you sure you won't get lost?" he asked.

"No sir. I could easily familiarize the way to get back to the camp" I said.

"Okay then, send a signal just in case something happens okay?" I could see the concern in Mr. Carnis' face. So I nodded to assure him.
