III.
We were at the cafeteria near the school. The set-up is too classic - wooden aged furniture adorned with a highlight of luxury, landscape paintings on the different corners, classy lightings which is not too dim and not too bright, books can be readily read from the shelves near the tables. The second floor is much more elegant than the first floor. It is an attic which has wide transparent glass windows which enable the customers to see the surroundings in such a high place.

We chose to sit at the attic.

"Go ahead. I'll be ordering. What do you like?" Mr Carnis Asked.

"I'd like whatever you you'd like sir." Anima Confirmed.

"Okay, so I'll be ordering the same thing." Mr. Carnis told us.

The three of us heeded to the attic. I sat near the window so that I could observe the people passing by along the ways. And, so that I may avoid any awkward situations and conversations. The three of us in one group is already awkward in itself so I wouldn't want to add up anything more.

Anima took out her make-up kit. She is fond of painting her face with different elegant colors. She is beautiful as it is - as herself without even wearing makeup but I think it's just her hobby.

"So why did you invite me as your groupmate?" Lex has finally said something.

"Well, it's not that we invited you, we were just left with no choice." Anima harshly commented.

"Shhh...Anima!!! Why would you tell that to him?" I whispered.

"Well, it's the truth. So I wouldn't lie!" She bitchy replied.

I look at Lex. He goes back to being silent and stiff again.

"I'm so sorry. Anima didn't mean anything. It's just that we could not find anyone to group with." I said to comfort him.

Why would you be sorry? It's true though." He said.

"Uhm. Tho-..." I was about to rebut when Mr. Carnis came with our order. He also orders cakes for each one of us.

"Okay shall we start? How would you want to answer the question?" Mr. Carnis asked as he sit.

"I think one could never answer the question objectively. Since the question also requires an answer about our purpose in life." Lex answered.

"I think that's what makes the question fun and worthy to search." I replied.

"So are you saying we have to search everything about life?" Lex answered.

"No! I'm just saying that we should delve into life." I answered defensively.

Lex never answered after that. I don't know if he felt my defensiveness but I'm thankful he never said anything more.

"So what now? What and how do we answer the question?" Anima interrupts.

"I think one could have a grasps and could focus on why is he here by isolating himself. Contrary to the beliefs of the majority, I think there is some wisdom behind isolation." Lex coolly stated.

I could see the shock from the faces of Anima and Mr. Carnis. I nearly laugh because their faces are hilarious.

"What?" Lex asked. He might have noticed our reactions.

"Ahhhh...nothing." I replied. I tried to sound sincere but I don't know if he'll believe me.

"Okay, would you want to camp then? I know of a place which is somewhat and somehow distant to the city." Mr. Carnis enthusiastically suggested. "Uhm...I mean, since Lex has told us that we could possibly answer the question in isolation, so maybe it could work." Mr. Carnis clears his throat as he realized he got excited over it.

"That's a great idea sir." Anima excitedly claim.

"Okay that's decided then!" Mr Carnis concluded.
