IV.
"Psyche this is Sophia, Sophia this is Psyche" I introduced Psyche to Sophia. I think there's no harm if they meet each other. Besides Psyche is not a person who would stick her nose to anything.

I saw Psyche frowned a little but she immediately compose herself. She extends her hand towards Sophia and they shook hands.

"Where is she from?" Psyche turns to me and asked.

"Huh? Uhm...I didn't ask any personal information yet since, I think, it would be rude to her." I said.

"Why is she here anyway? Is this just a coincidence?" Psyche asks again.

"Believe me or not, this is just a sheer coincidence." I tried not to sound defensive because she might think that I'm hiding something.

To cut her chasing, I turned to Sophia and ask her, "Where were we again?" I could see the inexplicable gaze psyche is giving towards me but I didn't bother to point it out. Maybe she was just startled because a stranger is with us out of the blue.

"Ahhh...we are trying to talk about the question 'why are we here'" I exclaimed as if I just remembered a very important matter that shouldn't be forgotten.

"Yes!" Sophia replied.

"I believe that I was here exactly to search my purpose. I believe that we are not predestined as what common people believe. I think that even if there's God our purpose lies unto that which we have searched and not unto that something God has predestined us." I proudly said trying to impress the two girls beside me. Ooppss! "what am I doing? This is unlikely of me"

"But maybe destiny is not predestined by God, that this is also just the result of one's decision in life?" Sophia said opposing the normal belief of people.

"You got a point" I replied.

"What did she say?" Psyche asks as if she couldn't hear Sophia.

"Have you not heard her?" I ask her.

"Uhm sorry, I'm not paying attention well, I was disrupted with the beauty in front of me." She said.

I could sense that she's lying and looked at the direction she had just said. I was mesmerized as I see an ethereal light coming from the bunch of fireflies. "Woahh!" I exclaimed. "This is beautiful" I said. I rubbed my eyes because this is ineffably beautiful and to confirm that what I'm seeing is indeed true. But this rubbing produces an even more beautiful scene.

I looked at Sophia, and God! She's beautiful. Her eyes seem to sparkle along with the fireflies. Her lips curve forming a smile is really soothing. I quivered when a strong breeze passed by. I'm just wearing a shirt and a short so I could feel the cold. The leaves also swayed in synchronized with the wind. It's majestic as if we just entered into another world.

"Shall we go?" Psyche asked. Ugh, I almost forgot her because I was too focused on my surroundings and...of course...with Sophia.

She might have been cold because I see her hug her own self.

Honestly, I don't want this moment to end but I pity Psyche.

"Okay let's go." I said. "Let me go down first so that I could assist you." I volunteered.

I first assisted Sophia. And again, I caught the inexplicable gaze of Psyche. "What's her deal?" I thought to myself.

It is already dark and it's hard to see the path. Luckily, Psyche is more flexible than I thought. She brought with her a flashlight. I could hear the chirping of the birds. I could also hear some strange noise which I think is normal since we are at the forest.

"We are almost there!" I exclaimed when I finally see the lights coming from our tents.

"Have you-" I couldn't continue what I was going to tell because I can't see Sophia. Maybe she already went her way.

"Did Sophia leave already?" I asked Psyche.

"Ye-yes.." she answered. There is something wrong with her, but, never mind, it's no use to confront her.
