Wahh!!! My heart is screaming out loud when i realized i have leaned on his shoulder as i fell asleep. How could i do such a thing, i grinned.

Ah-uh-uhm... I stuttered. I couldnt collect my thoughts. I dont know what to say.

"Its okay," he muttered. He must have noticed my internal conflict.

All i could do then is to give him a weak smile. Geez its awkward.

We are almost at Anima's residence, i guessed. So i fixed myself, flatten my crumpled blouse, and comb my messy hair.

I looked at Lex's facial expression. He remained unmoved and only flashing an expressionless face. This is him. This is the real him. I dont know what prompts him to go along with me, but as far as i knew him, this is the real Lex - the Lex right here, right now, the cold, stiff and serious Lex.

He might have sensed my glancing, so he turned at me and gave me a skimping smile.

Just at that, we reached our destination. We got off and started to walk. I dont know Anima's address exactly so we tried to ask the people walking along.

A man at our age pointed out the direction. "Go straight this street, turn left after the crossing and there you could see the police station. He chuckled.

I noticed Lex's discomfort, so i asked him if he's okay. He might have been annoyed with the man. Wait...what if...he lost his temper. I got afraid of the thought.

"I really hate shallow people. They always throw nonsense things." He hissed. I could feel his annoyance, but he still wants to maintain his cool. Woahh..atleast he could still control it. I sighed.

Uhm...you know, sometimes shallow people want to hide something deep inside them. Whatever that may be, that remains to be something they dont want to be seen by others thus their actions. I dont want to trigger you. I calmly said.

At that, he calmed down. "I know" he said. "Its just that, i was like this to begin with." He muttered

"What are you anyway? Or much more, who are you? Who is Lex? I want to know him" i muttered while trying to meet his eyes.

At that we saw Anima's mother got out of their gate.

I called her attention and she gave me a hesitant smile as she saw me.

She led us inside. To my shock, i saw Anima. She lost a lot of weight.

"S-she...her mother's voice cracked at that. She lost her appetite after the incident." She begins. She seemed always afraid. We often found her inside the bathroom drenched with her clothes on. Her mother is really holding herself not to burst out.

Pity plunged in me. I hugged her at the back as tears flow in my eyes. That hits me so hard

"Im sorry" i whispered her. "Im really sorry" at that i cried.

Anima touched my hands. She gripped tight unto them. and so i hugged her even tighter. God, i missed her. I really do.

Lex, who is sitting at the sofa, just carefully looking at us. Her mother, who looked terribly sad a while ago, is now loosening a bit. She walked towards the kitchen and prepared something for us.

Now that i see Anima like this, i promised to not leave her side again. Ill make it up to her, Ill attend to her whenever she may need. I promise.

I smiled at her as i looked at her face. She gave me a weak smile but that's okay. That's enough for today. I wouldnt force myself to her.

Lex gave me an assuring look as i happened to glance at him. Im aware that he knows what i feel. Im thankful because he is there. I might not be able to go here if not because of him.

I thank him in silence. I faced him and lipsynced "thank you" so that he may read it.

He gave me a smile in return.

"Okay kids, have something first," Anima's mother offered. She made a chicken sandwhich with lettuce and tomatoes partnered with an orange juice.

"We'll go to a psychiatrict clinic tomorrow," she announced. "I couldnt let my daughter be beaten down like this." She's determined at that.

"Thank you for visiting Psy. You gave my daughter strength. Thank you...thank you" she repeatedly say while holding my hands. She's sweet of a mother.

I gave her an assuring smile. "No worries, ma'am, she's my dearest friend. And i dont want to lose such a sweet friend." I smiled.
