As soon as Grayson had let loose the news, Phoenix and Enzion had exchanged bleak glances. Both had gulped, their faces paling as their eyes widened.
"Arius," Enzion mumbled, barely looking at anybody in particular. "Arius is still at camp."
Phoenix tightened her lips into a straight line, before reaching into the top of a shelf, producing multiple bags.
"The vampire and the human can help me pack everything up. Enzion, you have to find him. Once you do, ride him over the forest if the smoke is bearable. If not, then do what you have to do," Phoenix ordered, a look of determination crossing her face. She faced Jade and I. "Pack anything you can get your hands on. Just don't break any bottles."
Enzion glanced t me, trying to determine if I was dangerous or not.
"I won't touch her," I concluded for him.
"You better not," Enzion confirmed. "Once I find Arius, we are going to go West. All of us. We have to find the other pack. Maybe we can stop them. If we don't-" His voice faltered. "You can probably expect a full scale war. If that happens, I assure can you. Humans will become involved."
Phoenix, Jade and I nodded. Enzion raced through the door, scattering Grayson and the other three men.
"We will try to locate any lost wolves. Good luck, Phoenix," Grayson smiled solemnly. He closed the door.
All three of us exchanged almost frightened glances as we shoved items into bags.
"How are we going to carry all of this?" I asked, pointing to the piles of bags that we had already stacked up.
"My magic suitcase obviously," Phoenix giggled wildly. Jade and I rolled our eyes.
"I was serious," I groaned as Phoenix smiled.
"As was I," She beamed, pulling what looked like an ordinary luggage case from beside the now empty bookshelf. She began to place random bags filled with items into it, carefully. As soon as each bag was placed into the suitcase, it disappeared into the pitch black darkness that the case held.
"How will you get what you want out of it?" Jade asked, visually confused.
"We can talk about suitcases later. Right now, we need to get out of here," Phoenix exclaimed. "Unless you're okay with being toasted, of course. In which case, you may stay."
