Mysterious deaths had been happening in the village and the elders brushed it off as the gods wrath.
I had my own doubts and decided to sneak out one night,an ugly laugh echoed all around me followed by a shadow on a flying high above me.
Curiosly, I followed it careful not to attract attention until she landed on my best friends yard,she got off the broom patting it and walked to the front door,it flew open bits and pieces of woods and nails flying everywhere.
A fire appeared out of her open palm and she moved further inside the house,I watched as the curtain of the window caught fire slowly spreading to whole house she quickly got out giggling as her pointy hat dangled on her head.
She suddenly stopped growing still and poised as a cat,the fire stopped crackling for like ten seconds before it continued like time hadn't frozen at all.
The clouds covering the moon moved making the bright illumination fall upon the earth,I felt exposed from my spot hidden in the bushes at the bright light.
All at once she turned around looking directly at me,her pale eyes peered at me before she let out an ear piercing scream getting on her broom heading towards me.
I quickly took hold of the cross on my neck pulling it off wrapping the chains around my wrist waiting for her to get close,I moved into an open area as she got closer.
Her pale white eyes peered closer at me,the green veins on her skin throbbing faster as she swayed around me on her broom,I was careful keeping only one thought in my head incase she decided to use a mind reading spell on me.
"Little girl" her voice barely above a whisper followed by an inward echo "do you seek death?" She asked and I shook my head,the same screeching laugh echoed through the air from her throat.
She lunged for me her hand going for my throat,her veiny palm wrapped around my throat as her eyes lit up to a into a greenish pinkish hue,her hat lifted up unconfining her black hair,her dry cracked lips moved silently probably reciting a spell.
My hand moved latching itself onto her wrist making her scream as she let go of me. I increased my grip on her wrist making sure the cross grazed her skin harshly the light from her eyes ceased turning back into her pale gaze, smoke rose from the contact point and she tugged harder making me let go.
She cradled her arm to her chest and her head rose as she glared at me and my eyes darted to my palm and I groaned wiping the dark matter of her skin on the grass while moving away gagging at the aweful smell.
"Smart,very smart little one,you pay attention to the classes only on problem,they don't teach you enough!" She yelled making her way to me again.
I closed my eyes ready for my death,this is what I get for being snoopy.
"Run!" A voice ordered,my eyes opened to find the witch still and looking at me,time had frozen again even her hair was still, there was no wind or anything--
