Clarke's P.O.V.

I woke up to the steady stream of sunlight through the top of my tent and the loud noise of the camp. Shit. I must have over slept. I had been so tired last night and after talking with Bellamy I had been drained of energy. Bellamy. I thought back to last night. He was acting so weird. I knew he was upset about Octavia and I understood where he was coming from. I pushed the thoughts aside and got out of the weird makeshift bed.

I walked over to the table and splashed some water on my face. It was spring so it was still chilly but it was warm enough that we wouldn't freeze. I pulled on my jacket and boots and left my tent. As I exited my tent I saw Octavia walking by. I decided to run and catch up to her. I didn't know her well but I figured I could keep an eye on her and a friend couldn't hurt.

"Hey" I said as I neared her. It took a moment for her to realize I was talking to her. "Hey" she replied. "Whats up?" I smiled at her and answered "not much just on my way to the med bay. What are you up to?" She paused before answering, "I was up late so I am just gonna go to my tent and get some sleep." I connected to dots and realized what she was talking about. Trying to be friendly and also snoop around at the same time I asked, " oh yeah, did you have a fun last night with Lincoln?" It was a little forward seeing as I didn't know her well but she didn't even flinch.

"It was fun." She said not wanting to give to much away. "I am happy that at least someone is trying to have a good relationship with a grounder. He seems kind." I said which earned a grateful smile from Octavia and she begun to relax. "He is really sweet, he leaves me flowers and draws me pictures. I like to sneak out to see him, he tells me stories and takes me swimming." I could see the girls eyes shining as she talked about the grounder. I guessed that like myself Octavia didn't have many friends and was happy just to talk to someone about Lincoln. "I am running late for my shift. But I'd love to talk more and maybe hangout sometime." I said as see looked at her watch. Octavia lit up again and smiled, "I'd love that." "Ok, I'll see you around" I said before turning and heading toward the dropship.

Bellamy's P.O.V.

I exited my tent and started to head towards the middle of camp. I slowed down when I saw Octavia, at least I knew she was safe and had returned from her overnight adventure. I was going to go over and remind her she shouldn't go out alone, when I remembered what Clarke said about letting her grow up.

Just as I had thought about Clarke she had appeared and begun talking to Octavia. I hadn't realized she was Octavia's friend, I didn't think Octavia had many friends. I watched their interaction curiously. Clarke was talking and Octavia seemed to go a little stiff. I wonder what the hell they are talking about. Clarke continued to talk and Octavia relaxed. Then she broke out into a large smile, one i hadn't seen in a really long time. I smiled to myself, of course if anyone could make someone smile it was Clarke. Soon they were both smiling and then Clarke began to walk towards the med Bay.

I headed to the med bay after Clarke. I stepped inside and watched for a minute. Clarke walked through the med bay moving around the cots and tables. She knew it like the back of her hand, which was not surprising, she spent all her days and a handful of nights here. She twisted her hair up in a clip before starting to do inventory. I made my way over to her. "Hey Princess" I said a smile on my lips.

She spun around surprised. "Ughhhhh, Bellamyyy" she moaned. Something which made it incredibly hard to focus, I liked the way she moaned my name more that I should have. "You scared the living crap out of me. I could have dropped something." She said. I smirked and quickly apologized for scaring her. "You would think being in the middle of the woods in enemy territory you would be a bit more prepared for surprise attacks" I said. "What would you have done if I was a Grounder here to kill you?" I asked. She simply smiled, she pulled a knife from her boot and another one from the waist of her jeans. I laughed, of course she was armed.
