Bellamy P.OV.
I woke up with my arm still over Clarke's waist. I shifted giving her room and moved my arm. I hoped she slept okay, I wasn't sure about her sleeping in here, I could have crushed her in my sleep. Nonetheless she had come to me. She couldn't sleep and she turned to me. I shouldn't be happy about this because she should be able to sleep and because I am sure I'll get shit from someone. Good things never last.
I watched her sleep. Her back had been to me when we feel asleep but now she was laying on her back. I watched the rise and fall of her chest reminding myself she was okay, she would be okay. Her hair was scattered around her, just like the night we kissed. Even with the cut lip and bruises she was still the most beautiful, strong person i know. I watched her, she was peaceful, relaxed. I hadn't seen her like this ever. The day after we kissed she had already left when I woke up, now I knew what I had missed.
"Quit looking at me, weirdo" Clarke said, breaking into a smile with her eyes still closed. It suprised me that after everything she still managed to smile. I rolled my eyes of course she would catch me staring at her. "I don't know what your talking about" I said knowing full well I had been caught. She opened her eyes and raised an eyebrow letting me know that she didn't buy it. I changed the subject, "so how are you feeling?" I asked. "Better. My head has stopped spinning, my ribs hurt like a bitch, but I am less tired. Thank you for that by the way." She said. I wrinkled my eyebrows together, "for what, letting you crawl into bed at like 3am because I wouldn't let you walk back by yourself and was too tired to get up?" I asked smiling. This was part of the reason I let Clarke stay, but I had also wanted to keep her close. Clarke gave me a ya-okay look and moved on. "So I gotta tape my ribs today, if I ever want to work again I am gonna need to find some sort of pain killer." She stated. I on the other hand didn't agree with this, "your not working. You need to rest, to heal. You know like you tell your patients." I said. She did not like being compared to a patient.
"Okay, ok. I won't argue with you right now. I am hungry. Let's go get food." I said trying to keep the peace. We had been arguing about her working for 20 minutes and I had a feeling she was about to kill me. I offered food up, knowing she would be hungry, I would have preferred getting her food and bringing it back, but I knew she would argue. I knew I would lose. "Fine, but this is not over, Blake." She said as she laced her boots. I rolled my eyes for what seemed like the 10th time this morning and exited the tent. I stayed close but when I saw Octavia I walked over to her. She seemed to be panicked and seeing me did not seem to help.
"Octavia? What's wrong?" I asked. She looked at me and closed her eyes trying to calm down. "Your going to kill me, you have to promise not to kill me." She said. I looked at her confused and now worried but agreed. "I lost Clarke. She was in her tent, me and Raven were with her. But we fell asleep and when we woke up she was gone. She had left a note about a walk and-" she looked at me. "Why the hell aren't you worried?" She said seeing the small smirk on my face. "Octavia, she is fine. She passed out in my tent. She is absolutely fine." I said. She looked at me and then she punched me hard in my left arm. What the hell? "Hey!" I cried, rubbing my arm. "You let me worry, I was searching for her all morning, panicking!." She yelled. "I didn't know she snuck out out in the middle of the night, or I would have informed you, God what are you part of her royal guard?" I said, still mad she hit me. Clarke walked over to us and Octavia almost crushed her in a bear hug, I had to remind her she was still hurt.
We started to walk to breakfast, we met up with the others and sat in a weird circle. No one really talked. It was the first time Montey and Harper had seen Clarke and their eyes were full of sadness. I distracted Clarke from stares and whispers as best I could but she knew. Clarke sighed, she cleared her throat, getting everyone's attention. "As you all know I was attacked in the woods. I will be okay, I am still the same stubborn, strong, annoying person, I just need a bit of time." She said. This earned a round full of noddes around our little circle of friends. I squeezed her hand, letting her know I was proud and that I was still there. She squeezed back.
