Clarke's P.O.V.
"I swear to god if i have to pee one more time i'm gonna throw something." I threatened. With a sigh i sat down on a chair in the med bay. I had been working pretty consistent hours but i had to take frequent breaks. I was only about 4 months along but it was enough that I felt it. I was tired, and My bladder was nonexistent. If that wasn't enough for me to deal with i was really starting to show.
I had mixed feelings about this one. My clothes were getting tight and i knew the whole camp would know if they didn't already. And if Bellamy had been annoying before he was only worse. I let my hands wonder down to the small curve of my stomach. I couldn't help but smile at the thought of 2 little ones running around the camp.
"Clarke!" Raven called from the entrance of the med bay. My head poped up. "Yeah, whats wrong?" I asked getting up from my seat and starting over to her. "Nothing serious, but Lexa and a gounder are here. They want to see you." She said, i could tell she wasnt thrilled. I can't blame her, the only grounder they trust is Lincoln. I followed after her as she lead the way to my cabin. I was trying not to be uncomfortable that she was in my home, so I pushed the thought away. I steped through the door and i felt Raven try to follow. I turned to my friend who i knew was trying to protect me, "hey could you go find Bell, i want him here." I asked, hoping it would be enough to distract her into leaving and stop her from worrying. She quickly nodded and i smiled before she turnned to go find the eldest Blake.
I continued into my cabin and found Lexa sitting at the table, the grounder women behind her. "Hei Heda" i said greeting her warmly. She got up and embraced me, taking me a bit by suprise. "When will you call me Lexa?" She teased and I only smiled trying to hide my curiosity regarding her visit. She sensed my wondering because the next thing out of her mouth was an answer. " we have come to check up on you and yours." She said her eyes roaming over my stomach. I was happy there were no threats of war or other dangerous reasons for the visit but now i was worried about myself. "We are well" i said simply. But I could tell from her eyes that was not enough.
I was about to say more when I heard the floor creak and I felt Bellamy's hand on my shoulder, grounding me. It was like his being there took away worries i didn't know i was worrying about. I relaxed and Lexa noticed. " so Bellamy how has your mate been so far in the carrying of your child." Her focus shifted to Bellamy. I felt him stiffen a bit. Who could blame him she called me his mate, what were we monkeys. He recovered much better than I would have. "Clarke is doing well carrying . Our children." He said squeezing my shoulder. I was a spark of light in Lexa's eyes," children, more than one?" She asked. I didn't like her new found interest so i quickly changed the subject.
"We are all doing well. How are you?" I asked curiously. Lexa smiled clearly understanding my strategy but agreeing to drop it. "I am well, just preparing for the cold. I can see you have also readied yourselves for the winter." I only smiled. "So what has brought on this check up then?" I asked. The idea of her keeping tabs on us made me a little more nervous then i would like to admit.
Bellamy squeezed my hand just enough for me to feel it but to too much, as to be obvious. He was worried too. Lexa turned to the grounder women with her and then back to us. "Well i just figured we would come by and give you a check up if you'd like. Maybe there is something you need help with, my people have much more experience in baring a child on the ground then yours." She said simply. She was right, but as friendly as we were with the grounders, i wasn't one to ask for help.
I was about to dismiss Lexa and send her on her way home but to my surprise Bellamy stepped forward. "I have a few questions." He admitted. If i was surprised before i was shocked now. He hadn't said anything to me. On the calls with my mother he had always been quite, never really asking too many questions. If he had wanted to know something why didn't he ask me?
