Bellamy's P.O.V.

We didn't know we were drunk until it was too late. In fact, Clarke blatantly refused she was drunk. I kept thinking about what Lincoln said, it had probably been one of the drinks or desserts. We were not the only ones who were drunk but that didn't comfort me.

Clarke was drinking her water which had been offered after the food. She was smiling and giggling and no where near as bad as some of the grounders. One grounder down at the end of the table had started to sing and soon many others were dancing and singing along. I was a little out of it, but once I realized what was happening I stopped eating and drinking. I peared down the table and saw Lexa, she herself was smiling. Probably buzzed, but not drunk, i thought.

My attention was brought back to Clarke when she placed her hand on my thigh. I froze, this was new. "Ummm, Clarke?! What-" i started. She giggled and moved her hand up further. I looked at her, "Clarke?!" I said grabbing her hand to stop it from moving. She pouted. Ughhhhhh, she was toying with me.

We sat at the table, which was now almost completely bare, grounders would eat anything. And we just talk with the others across from us. They were from Trikru, a man and a women. The man was covered in tattoos and was built like a truck, his arms were larger than my head. The women had her hair braided and her eyes were green. At first I thought they might have been a couple. It seemed like a lot of the leaders were. However that belief didn't last long.

The singing continued. I was paying attention to the dancing grounders when something caught my attention. Clarke giggled, I smiled and turned to see what she was laughing at. Her cheeks were red and she had a strange look on her face. I followed her gaze and saw the grounder man across the table, smiling at her. I was confused until I realize he was flirting with her. I felt anger bubbling in my chest. Clarke would never cheat on me but the thought hurt.

I shifted in my seat and tried to ignore the large grounder man. Under the table I put out my hand, and after a painful moment, Clarke wrapped her fingers in mine. I could have sighed in relief but I didn't want the grounder to feel like he had won. We spent the rest of the night watching the drunk grounders break things, dance, make out, and sing. It was definitely different from our camp. My focus drifted around the table, a few grounders looked sleepy, this party would soon be over.

With Clarke still drunk and myself a little less drunk, I was in charge. I waited until a few grounders had already left then i turned to Clarke, "Princess, its bedtime." She only pouted. I rolled my eyes knowing if I left she would follow. I stood up and walked over to Lexa. Out of everyone she seemed to be the most unaffected, I guess being Heda you couldn't just get drunk. After a moment Clarke was at my side, she definitely smelt of alcohol. "Heda. We would like to excuse ourselves for the night, enjoy the rest of the festivities. We thank you for inviting SkiTru." I said doing a weird kneel thing. The alcohol did not help with balance, I almost face planted.

Lexa smiled at me and stood, she smiled at Clarke and took her hand. Lena's eyes raked over Clarke's body and i am sure if Clarke had been a little more sober she would have noticed. I certainly did. This wasnt the first time Lexa had looked at Clarke this way. It was strange, it made me angry but not as upset as I should have been. Lexa seemed to care for Clarke. She looked back over at me, "you are welcome anytime, enjoy the rest of your night." She said. She leaned over to kiss Clarke's cheek and kissed the back of my hand. I think it was a tie between us as to who was the most surprised.

With that i directed Clarke to the exits but not before we were interrupted. A grounder stepped into our path, i tensed. I looked up to see the grounder man who had smiled at Clarke. He smiled down at her again and i fought every part of myself which told me to wrap an arm around Clarke. I sighed, I was with Clarke, I trusted her. She seemed to notice the man in our path, she looked up and blushed. The grounder man began to talk, "goodnight, I hope to see you again before you leave Polis." He lifted his arms hoping for a hug. I almost lost it when Clarke walked over and gave him one.
