Bellamy's P.O.V.
I woke up to Clarke slipping on her boots, she leaned over and kissed me, sweet and short but it was much more than she had done in a long time. I groaned a bit, making her laugh, I did not find this overly funny. I would wait till she gave the okay, but it was killing me. I rolled over and started to get up. I slipped on my own boots and followed after Clarke who had slipped out the door not a second before me.
We walked to the girls hut, it must have been about 10 in the morning because the camp was busy. Clarke knocked on the door of the hut and it opened to reveal the small girl, who was surprisingly up on her feet. Clarke was over the moon, the girl was feeling better. After a quick lecture on staying in bed for a few days Clarke re-did her bandage and gave her some more tea.
We were set to leave for 12 so we headed back to the hut to pack up our things, on the way back a women stopped Clarke, she was friendly enough that my guard was down. "This is Lexa, the Heda" Clarke explained. I hid my surprise and introduced myself. I watched as the girls talked for a bit. Lexa's eyes lingered on Clarke a little longer than I liked. She seemed to be checking her out, staring at her lips and casually glancing at her hips and chest. I was surprised, she knew we were together but she didn't hide her flirting with Clarke from me. Clarke didn't seem to notice though, I didn't see her as much of a threat, Clarke liked me, I reminded myself. And if she wanted, even if it hurt, I would let her go if she found someone else. This included Lexa, although I didn't plan on giving up Clarke anytime soon.
The weirdest part was she wasn't just looking at Clarke, her gaze would wonder to me, and over my chest. I felt self conscious, she was looking at me like she could see through my clothes. I cleared my head and squeezed Clarke's hand. Clarke took the silent hint and excused us saying we had to go pack. Lexa nodded and told Clarke she would see her soon, as we turned to walk away Lexa caught my eye and winked, I had to use all myself control to keep my cool. This whole interaction was weird and I didn't know what kind of stuff grounder were into but me and Clarke were leaving before we could find out.
Me and Clarke packed and were ready at the gate for 12. The grounder had agreed to walk us half way to our camp so we didn't get lost. We said our goodbye to the villagers and left without problem. We walked for 45 minutes or so until we reached woods we knew well, the grounder said farewell and we continued on our own. It was odd being in the woods in such a small group. I could tell from the tight grip on her pack and her pulling at her fingers Clarke was uneasy.
It was part of the reason I hadn't wanted her to go alone, and part of the reason the others had let me, a silent understanding that Finn was still out here. Our patrols and hunting parties had no sightings of him but I could tell she was still a little nervous being in the woods. I took her hand, slowly not wanting to startle her. She seemed to relax a bit, we walked in silence until Clarke broke the tension, "you know he has taken so much of me, he beat me, he raped me. But as scared as I am of him, I won't let him take anything else from me." She said.
I hadn't expected her to talk about it and I didn't want to push her so I squeezed her hand reminding her I was there for her and we walked the rest of the way in silence. We reached the camp after another half an hour. It was still standing to my relief. We had only been gone 2 days but it felt like forever. The moment we stepped through the gates we both relaxed. We saw our friends and we made our way over to say hello once again and to fill them in about our trip.
Clarke's P.O.V.
It had been a week since our trip to the Grounder village and things in camp were going well. It was a nice change. I had still been sleeping in Bellamy's tent and we had unofficially become official. Not many people knew we were together and we hadn't confirmed it but they had their suspensions.
