y/n and Nate became good friends, for having the same interests and hobbies.

the square wasn't particularly crowded, but enough to give a nice atmosphere of a city. to the left were stores, to the right was an arcade, in front of that a studio of some sort (with two figures he couldn't make out), and directly in front of them, a large elevator tower to turf wars.

y/n: "You think they're compensating for something?"

They both exhaled through their nose and smiled.

that one scene with pearl & marina start to play, where they talk about Callie's disappearance and the zap fish. At the end, Pearl had suggested that maybe the human did these things, with Marina telling her how improbable that would be.

y/n: "Okay. One of them needs to be a little nicer. and the other one needs to put on some more clothes."

Nate: "Hey n/n, we should get you some new clothes."

y/n: "I don't see why not. After all, I should be treating these with a lot more care than I am currently. They are 12,000 years old, after all."

When entering the clothes store, y/n could see someone, noticeably a little different from the crowd, staring at him. He decided to shrug it off.

???: "Welcome, thee, to Ye Olde Cloth Shoppe! Thine's name is Jelfonzo, at your service!"

y/n: "Ah, Yes! an English gentleman! Sir, I come seeking cloths to acceptably replace mine self's current attire.

Jelfonzo: "Human! Thee has't shown thine much more class than any other whom'st has set foot in thine shop for the first time! Please, keep steadfast whilst I find thee suitable robes..."

Nate had a look of bewilderment on his face, he couldn't believe anyone could understand his ramblings, let alone talk like him...

Nate: "How did you do that?"

y/n: "What? That was old english, about 500 to 1300 year old words when I was alive."

Nate just took a seat on one of the chairs in the place, while Jelfonzo came out with some clothes.

Jelfonzo: "Thee can taketh, free of barter!"

y/n: "Dio Mio, Jelfonzo... these robes are quite stunning! Thee has't chosen better garments than expected! Much nicer than mine's current attire..."

y/n got changed and Nate was stunned. He was wearing a Navy blue blazer, with a white dress shirt, checkered brown vest and a dark grey tie. He was also wearing dark grey pants that matched the tie, and brown dress shoes.

y/n: "How do I look? presentable?"

Nate: "I never thought a human could look that good. Well, I only see skeletons, so..."

Jelfonzo: "Agreed. A tad fancy, for what thee tis' to embark upon, but nice nonetheless."

y/n: "May I gaze upon all of thine's human robes?"

Jelfonzo: "Gladly! I Has't known the act of collection would be of use in time!"

Jelfonzo then led Nate and y/n to the back of the shop, which had lots of old human clothes stacked up cleanly.

y/n: "I shalt pay thee for the extras when money is not as much of an issue."

y/n was beginning to lose his grip on sounding like an old englishman.

y/n: "I can't talk like that anymore. My deepest apologies."

Jelfonzo: "Tis' quite acceptable, my friend! I expect to see payment within the week."

And with that, Jelfonzo went back to his register in the shop.

y/n: "Sorry. I was just fascinated with what he had, I wanted to find some better clothes that would be better to move around in."

Nate: "I didn't say you couldn't be here. Plus, this is interesting."

He took a look at a "Back to the future" shirt.

The two had found some outfits that managed to fit. The first was nothing too fancy, a green shirt with light grey sweatpants. The second was some winter clothes, a black parka with black cargo pants and some grey boots. The third was some more simple clothing, just some jeans with a (insert favorite band) t - shirt.

With bags in their hands and y/n dressed in his plaid blazer outfit, they waved goodbye to Jelfonzo, and headed towards Ammo Knights.

y/n had completely forgotten about the text he received earlier. The certain someone who stood out was a little clearer now. She seemed to be annoyed, like there was something I was supposed to know. She then disappeared into the grate she were standing over, by going into squid form.

y/n: "Oh. I forgot you guys could do that."

Nate: "What are you talking about?"

y/n: "Nevermind..."

They entered Ammo Knights. They both looked at all the weapons on the rack, before someone told them:

???: Hello, Hello! What weapons- hang on a minute, you seem to be new here. You need to be at least a level 3 in turf wars to buy from me. Sorry."

The two walked out of the shop, a little hindered by getting rejected to be sold weapons.

y/n: "We couldn't afford them, anyway."

Nate: "You couldn't."

Taking another look at the inkling standing over the grate, y/n finally put together all of the pieces in his brain, and remembered the text.

y/n: "Hey, I've got to go do something. Could you put these in a safe place?"

y/n then handed him the clothes bags.

Nate: "Uhh... Sure."

y/n the turned away, and pretended he was heading towards Grizzco. He looked at the turf war tower, pretending to be infatuated by it. At the right moment, y/n turned to face the stranger, and to confirm his suspicion, it was Marie, who had a face of shock as she went back down the drain. y/n could see a note left behind, that said "follow me". So, y/n did the best he could: he pulled off the grating and jumped into the pipe.

Nate: "Mhm..."

What y/n didn't know was that Nate was watching the entire time, from one of Crusty Sean's tables.

Nate: "Hey Jelfonzo, could you hold onto these for us?"

Jelfonzo: "Quite certainly! I will await your return for these parcels."

When Nate got to the grate, he put the cover back on it and entered.
