y/n had stepped out of Grizzco. It seemed to be late out, almost night. It took him longer to change than the others, because of him being, well, a human. And because of the suit. He got his pay, which was increased from the sheer amount of salmonoids he splatted, which was 5600 coins. In dollars, that would be a bit much, but he assumed these were like foreign currencies, where they were worth 100 times less than a dollar.

y/n: sigh.

Instead of going back into the grate, y/n called Marie, who had put her number on y/n's phone. She listed herself as "2".

Marie: "Good timing! 4 just said he was ready to go to the boss kettle."

y/n: "Working really wore me out. Including the work for you. You mind If I just... Go home?"

Marie: "Please. I need you here."

y/n: "I'll be back tomorrow, I just really need to shower. Actually, I don't have a shower where I'm staying... at least ask Nate where he put the clothes."

You could hear her, despite her audible efforts to cover the phone speaker. "n/n's asking where the clothes are. Oh. ok. What? You too?"

Marie: "4 Says he wants to go home as well. Alright then, I guess I'll meet you two here tomorrow."

y/n: "Thanks for understanding."

He hung up the call. He expected Nate to come out of the grate, but he got surprised when he tapped him on his shoulder.

y/n: "How'd you-"

Nate: "That grate has mystical properties never seen before." He said this with a wise smile.

y/n: "Well, I was the first to do it. Because me busting out of a grate and flying 5 feet in the air would make one hell of a cover story."

They laughed, and y/n went to pick up his clothes.

y/n: "Jelfonzo, my good sir! I have come to thine's shop with coin."

Jelfonzo: "1000 will do, sir."

y/n took the bag, changed into his jeans and buggles t - shirt in the dressing room, then handed 1000 coins to Jelfonzo.

Jelfonzo: "I hope to see thee again!"

Nate and y/n walked out of the shop.

y/n: "Hey... Could I crash with you? I'm kind of sleeping on a couch. In a staff lounge area."

Nate: "Sure. I don't have anything much, since it's my second time in the apartment. First time moving out, actually. I have practically nothing... Why would you want to stay there with me? I have just a mattress."

y/n: "Believe me, anything is better than being a homeless leech."

Nate: "Alright then. You do you."

y/n suddenly remembered, the one person he worked with at Grizzcos.

y/n: "Hey, I have to do something. And don't watch this time."

Nate: "The train is about to leave... y/n, could it happen tomorrow?"

y/n: "Well... I'd hate to keep them waiting. Look what it did me last time."

He pointed to a very faint slap mark on his cheek.

Nate: "Well, I won't bother you. I'll text the address. See ya."

y/n: "Bye."

y/n had also remembered what he had said to Jessica, before he left. He decided to text her, so she wouldn't worry. He didn't have any belongings at the HPHR, just his phone, which he took with him.
