y/n had a pretty nice day yesterday, and wanted to keep that streak up. When he woke up this morning, he planned on playing video games with or without Nate for the entire day, but he got a call from Jessica.
Jess: Hey, what are you doing right now?
He was watching Nate accidentally run his horse into the side of a tree in RDR2, because he got distracted by some creature that isn't alive now.
y/n: Um... Literally nothing. Kind of bored actually.
Jess: Great! So you know how we got all these items, right? The ones on display?
y/n: You told me you got them from bunkers and shelters, right?
Jess: Would it be too much to ask you to try and find one? With you being human and all, I thought you might know the location of a few.
y/n thought to himself. Did he know any bunkers? He knew the president had to have one, don't know where that would be... nothing else came to mind.
Jess: I understand if I'm asking too much. It's a bit risky out there.
y/n: No, I just don't know anywhere that would have stuff intact. Wait... How could I forget the research station I was at?... How would I get back there?
Jess: We'll take care of that. Meet me at the HPHR. We'll get you ready to go.
y/n: Ok.
The call ended, and Nate had no more horse revives.
y/n: Nate... how...
Nate: I've never seen this many trees before! How am I supposed to dodge them all?
y/n: The horse has an AI built into it. just go forward, it'll dodge the trees itself.
Nate: Why didn't you tell me earlier?
y/n: I thought you knew, because the AI was actively fighting your inputs.
Nate: Hmph.

y/n pov
Jess: You ready?
y/n: I think so.
I was sitting in a motorboat. Not a fancy one, but still one that made me wonder where the HPHR got their budget.
Jess: Your backpack have everything?
y/n: Waterproof bags, spare gloves, underwater lamp and spare batteries for said lamp.
Jess: Then you're off! Good luck out there, hope you find something worthwhile!
She waved to me as I drove the boat into the horizon. I didn't know exactly which way to go once I left, but Jess told me over the boat's radio to head northeast. She had access to a few satellites, to determine the location I was found, and she did so by tracking the captain's rented boat through some images captured on the day I came here.
the boat ride was peaceful. It was the perfect way to describe it. the hum of the engine, the open sea, and the calm wind passing by, really made me relax. I drove the boat in silence for at least an hour, until the radio burst to life.
Jess: You should be there right now, look under you, do you see anything?
y/n: Hmm... rocks. Wait, is that metal?
I could barely see anything under the water, but what I could see was gravel, and something very rusty poking out.
Jess: Yes! Head down there and see what you can find!
