Chapter 21

"Ayos na ba dito?"

It was Gavin, my boyfriend. 

Nandito kami ngayon sa Manila to examine the condo unit na binili sa kaniya ng mga parents niya. He wants  me to live with him there pero tumanggi ako sa gusto niyang libreng pagtira ko doon. 

Well, I would like to be independent from my father tutal ay nandoon naman na si Mama. At first, hindi ako pabor na bumalik roon ang nanay ko. She's just a selfish woman. Then last day she went home with a cute baby girl, an autistic one, and my heart suddenly softens because of her.

Just like her name, she's a gem. Brittany Gem Rivera. Yes, she adopted my dad's last name. 

I am never against my sister, I accepted her whole-heartedly dahil inosente lang siya at walang alam. I would love to be her ate, soon. I promised Gavin I will be a good sister to her and it will always be my pleasure. 

Gavin taught me to be more like a human. Be strong, be good and be myself. He's just everything I need. 

Bukod sa gwapo at matalino, what I like the most to him is his heart. He changed my perspectives towards life and I will always be thankful to him. I think Kuya Oliver really guided me to this man.

"Since two bedrooms yan, ako sa kabila," I said. He frowned and pouted before nodding. He's such a baby. 

"Babe, dito nalang tayo sa isa," pilit niya sa'kin at humawak pa sa kamay ko. 

I would like, too, actually pero baka ano pang magawa namin. We're just 19, hello?

"Ang bastos mo talaga!" Singhal ko sa kaniya at tumawa lang siya. I admire that he has control in everything at hindi siya pinangungunahan ng libog. He's a gentleman with his actions, sometimes lang sa words dahil literal na gago 'to. 

The house has two bedrooms, a kitchen with dining area and a little living room with complete sala set. The rooms have their own bathrooms at may isa pa sa labas. The condo is on the third floor of the building at may pool sa rooftop. It's not that big pero sakto na sa isang pamilya. 

Kulang pa rin ang mga gamit dito. Walang ref, cooking set at ibang equipments. Sinabi naman ni Gavin na may ibinigay na pera sa kaniya pero nahihiya pa rin ako kaya mags-share ako kahit kaunti. 

We planned to buy things bukas pati na rin ng mga groceries. We're like husband and wife here but I like it, though. 

After checking the whole house ay naisipan muna naming kumain. Manila is so broad for us pero salamat sa Waze and we can simply go around Manila without hesitations. 

Kumain lang kami sa isang chinese restaurant. We're still wearing our clothes na suot magmula kanina. 

"Talaga? I would like to see the baby, soon," excited na sabi ni Gavin habang ikinukwento ko si Brittany sa kaniya. He never had the chance to see her.
