"Yeah, Mom, I'll be back at dinner!"

It's Saturday now and I need to go to Mr. Castro for the final statement about our cases. I wore my simple white buttoned dress and pencil skirt.

I opened my phone and dialled Badet's number. She instantly answered it.

I greeted some co-workers and they gave me some greetings, too.

They discussed about different department and when it's my turn ay nag-explain na rin ako tungkol sa naging project namin for the month.

"Attorney, I would like to have some time for a coffee, can we?" He said with a large smile plastered on his face.

I wonder why would he want us to have a private talk.. is it about his daughter or about something relate to work?

"Sit down," ngiting sabi niya sa akin at tumawag ng waiter. "Two hot americano, please. Salamat," magiliw na sabi niya.

I wonder why can't her daughter inherit that kind of characteristics from her Dad. Maybe, I can be less mad at her back then if she just didn't show me some attitude.. but still, it's on the past and I don't mind it anymore.

"Is there something you want? Like cake or something," he asked me but I shook my head.

"Sir, what will be our topic? I'm just amused that you called me for a normal talk like this," nahihiyang sabi ko ngunit tumawa lang siya nang mahina.

"I am just want to talk about my daughter," he said. I'm a bit disappointed but not suprised. "About her and Gavin," he added that made me want to chuckle.

"What about them?" I asked trying not to sound sarcastic.

"You know they're be marrying each other soon," malumanay na sabi niya, hindi pa rin sinasabi ang punto niya. "That's the only thing my daughter asked me."

"Please, get into your point, sir," I tried sounding polite. "Huwag na ho kayong magpaligoy-ligoy pa," I smiled.

"Can you stay away from Gavin? I mean, don't get too close with him dahil alam kong may past kayo," he said that made me play my tounge on the insides of my cheek.
