(After The Last Scene)

Bryce's POV:

After Juli and I patted the last patch of soil out of place, I stood up and offered her a hand though it dirtied soil. Hers did anyway so I didn't think much of it. She looked up, smiled and took my hand and I gently pulled her up on her feet. I took the other and stared right into those cute brown eyes of hers. She was incredible. Then I instantly remembered that I haven't asked for her forgiveness. I looked down to our feet as the ends of my lips slowly went down, which once was resembling a smile.

She saw it too and she looked down, looking quite detached. I nudged her hands ever so gently, looking back up, not leaving her eyes, catching her attention. As soon as she looked up I could see she was tearing up. I couldn't stand seeing her hurt.

"Juli, I'm really sorry. I realized that I fell head over heels for you and I'll do anything to win back both your trust and heart again and I would never hurt you anymore in the long run. I promise." I pleaded for her forgiveness right then and there and it seems to look as though I was rather desperate.

She didn't answer, she just stared right back at me and I saw tears dripping down her sad eyes one by one. And finally, she broke off the silence saying, "I have no idea why I keep falling back to you," She managed whimper out.

I squeezed her hand a little more tighter, "Then please let me show you how much I have. Can't you see? I'm falling for you Juli Baker. Please, forgive me. My intentions are true 'cause I like you, I really do. I couldn't sleep for the past two days without talking or even having you by my side."

I saw how her eyes lit up and her smile was back on. She nodded and that was it. I was jumping for joy right in the inside. I just couldn't contain my happiness I hugged her really tightly. She was taken aback but her hands managed to make their way to my back, gripping tightly and I felt her head right on my chest. I finally got the girl of my dreams (well, sort of) and I was the happiest guy. We pulled away and I planted a kiss on her forehead.

Her fingers intertwine with mine as we walk toward the garden hose rinsing our hands out. I couldn't back down there. I wanted her to be mine.

"Juli? Did you have any plans for today?"

"Not that I know of," she answered looking like she knew what was about to happen next. She seemed giddy, I was relieved.

"Well, I wanted to officially ask you out. I want to get to know you better."

"I'd love that," she smiled. "Just let me change real quick," she added.

There it was. The sparks. I felt a whole zoo of butterflies in my gut, dancing around lots of fireworks popping as though it was the Fourth of July.

She left me and went inside. I heard her talking to her parents letting them know she'd be gone, and dashed into her room. This time, her brothers went out. And now this nauseous feeling fell at the pit of my stomach.
