Juli's POV:
The day had finally arrived. It's Christmas Eve! I was down to the core excited to see my friends again. Ever since the Moving Up Ceremony, I haven't seen Dana nor Daven.
On the other hand, Bryce and I hung out a lot. We did almost everything together everyday. By that, he was always at my house. My parents didn't mind and my brothers were thrilled. They treated him like a family. I was glad.
I knew his father didn't like the whole Bryce going over here and stuff but Bryce constantly finds a way to duck him. When I ask, he'd tell me not to worry about it. I really hope there's nothing to worry about.
Yesterday afternoon, we went out to the mall. Bryce tagged along too. My parents were going Christmas shopping for their friends, the kids and some relatives.
At the mall we split up. Mom told us to meet them back at the food court at exactly 6:30 as we'd have supper there.
The first place we had in mind was the arcade. We paid for some tokens and we had fun in the Dance Dance Revolution, the Car Racing Simulator, a mini Bowling Ball station, and a lot more. Bryce even won me a cute little stuffed bear in the Claw Machine. We took tons of pictures in the photo booth box or whatever you call it right after.
Then, when it was time, we walked to the food court and met the whole family there. We had dinner and went home.
We had a fun day.
Bryce's POV:
I woke up to my sister banging heavily on my door. Geez, way to start a good day.
I was too lazy to get up at the time because I spent the whole night thinking if Juli would like the gift I got for her. Remember how I mentioned when I gave Juli the picture frames that I have one more gift in store for her? Yup, that was a hint, buddy.
Anyway, back to the current scenario, Lyn had been constantly banging down on my door. I kept it locked in the evening for a reason. No one is to snoop around my territory.
I trudged to the door, my head still hanging down, making it obvious that I was only half-conscious.
I opened it and saw Lyn's eyes widen. What, she's shocked?
"What in the... Bryce have you just woken up?" she said in a high pitch. Too high for my morning moody self. I got annoyed way too easily.
"If it's not already obvious, yes I have, good morning to you too," I sarcastically answered with a fake smile. "What do you want?" Now, having real attitude.
"Get dressed, weirdo. We're the hosts. We're supposed to be there early," she said.
"What's the rush? It's still in the evening isn't it?" I was told it was a dinner? Not breakfast.
"Well, you know how mom is, she wants the decoration to be perfect. She even hired a bunch of people come and set the place up. She said she has to see it," she explained.
"Ugh," I buried my face into my palms, rubbed both my eyes then said, "Fine, let me get ready. Just please, stop pounding on my door in the morning," I said with a little bit of annoyance in my voice.
"Whatever," she rolled her eyes before walking towards the stairs and began descending it. Wow. She had the living audacity to say that? The nerve of that girl, really.
I sluggishly arranged my bed before making my way to the bathroom at the end of the hall.
I took a quick shower then brushed my teeth.
I went back to my bedroom and got changed.
"Good morning honey!" said my mom who was at my bedroom door.
