Bryce's POV:
Yesterday was the best day I've had in forever, especially knowing that no one else can have Juli. I know this might sound cliché but I would never find another as iridescent as she was. This girl was special and I want her to feel it.
I planned on making our first day extra special so I got up extra early before the break of dawn to take her to watch the sunrise. I knew for a fact that she always wakes up quite early since she always watches the sunrise up on the Sycamore tree a few weeks back. She hadn't been the same since the tree was cut down and I just wanted to make it up to her.
I've sneaked around her house once or twice when I begged for her forgiveness a few days ago so I knew where her room was.
I got changed and made my way downstairs like a mice, not making a sound since I didn't want to awaken the others. I left a note for my mom letting her know I'm out and that I'd went to school early.
Then, I got out of the house with my books and binder clenched against my chest and gently shut the door, made my way down the road and once again, sneaked around her house, making my way to her window.
The light was on, indicating that she was up. Her curtains were halfway open, and I saw her on her bed, reading a book, with a plate of half eaten sandwich and milk next to her on her night stand.
I realized that I might have looked quite creepy but I most certainly can't turn back now so I gently tapped on her window, letting her know of my presence. She turned and looked completely shocked but there's no doubting that she still looked beautiful even in that state. She slammed her book shut and made her way to where I was. She unlatched her window.
"Good morning, beautiful," I greeted as she slid her window open.
"What are you doing here?" she smiled and I saw her cheeks flashed red. Absolutely adorable.
"I was thinking you'd want to watch the sunrise. I thought it'd be a great start of the day, don't you think?" I put on a flirtatious look hoping to look cool.
"You're unbelievable, you know that?" she chuckled.
"So what do you say?"
"Let me get my things," she excitedly turned to place the book she was reading on top of a few other and a binder, which I was guessing for school. "Meet me in front, I'll just let them know I'm leaving," she added as she slid her window back to its place and latching it back shut and pulled her curtains completely knocking me out of sight.
I did as she said and made my way back to their front door. She appeared at her doorstep a few minutes later, with her books clutched tightly in her arms. She looked excited, to say the least.
I took her stuff, placed them on top of mine on my right arm, and took her hand with my left as we walked out on the road.
"Where do you suggest we'd watch the sunrise, Bryce?" her eyes lit with excitement.
"I know the perfect place. Plus, it's near the school. We won't be late," I reassured.
She placed her head on my shoulder as we walked. I led the way.
We arrived at a newly opened park right across the road to where our school was. I know for a fact that only few knew this place because it was always empty except for one or two groups of friends hanging out. Anyway, what made this place amazing was that there were a few small hills that looked like bumps on the surface of the open grass fields and it had a lake right below.
She was in awe. I really wanted her to look surprised and I plan on doing certain things she wouldn't expect just to see her in the exact same way. I watched her observe the place and it's spectacular view.
She suddenly grabbed a hold of my arm and ran across the fields and on top of the highest hill. As soon as we were up, she let go of my arm and I once again watched her as she breathed in the light breeze and her long hair now being blown by it. This alone counted as an incredible view.
She then turned back to me and we both sat down, and waited for the sun to rise.
She looked at me and said, "Thanks Bryce," she put on a big smile as she linked our arms together as she carefully placed her head on my shoulder again. I grabbed a hold of her hand once again and placed my head right on top of hers. I liked holding her hand. I felt both safe and happy that way.
It was time. We saw the sun slowly peeking out of it's hiding place setting a blazing beam of light out to the horizon across the lake. The lake sparkled.
At the corner of my eye I saw Juli smiling widely as she tighten the grip of our hands.
"It's so amazing," she told me as I lifted my head from hers and she followed looking straight at me.
"You're amazing," I answered back and I saw her blushing profusely.
"You are too," now I was blushing. "Thank you Bryce. This is so special. I feel special." she added.
"You really are. I'm glad you now know my intentions." I smiled and kissed the top of her hair.
The sun was now shining brightly. It was a new day. I had Juli by my side and I couldn't have it any other way.
