Bryce's POV:
I slept through it and made my priorities straight, Juli's happiness. I'll miss her severely but I don't want to be the guy who stops her from doing certain things she's free to do. She told me during our first date that she always wanted to see the city lights and planned to study college there, after I told her that I was once a city boy myself. She envied me, and made me describe what it's like, wholly detailed, and with her impressively imaginative mind, she pictured the whole thing clearly.
What I'm saying is that I wasn't going to stop her anymore. In pure truth, the top reason I didn't want her to go was because she was going alone with Collins. I couldn't trust that guy if he was the last man on earth. But, Juli loves me, and isn't going to do anything to hurt me.
2 weeks isn't too long, I'll survive it. (Hopefully)
I woke early, wanting to get something romantic and special for her, to remember me by. Problem is, I don't know what it is, just yet.
What if I get her flowers? No. She can't bring that on a trip. What about photos? Nah, she'd probably already bring those with her. Or something convenient like a hair tie? Ugh, she has plenty of those already. Im running out of ideas.
I thought of more possible gifts that related to a memory of me as I got ready. Not until I got dressed when I figured up the perfect thing. What better way to remember a person by than their signature scent on something snuggly? My perfume on my jacket. Boom. I decided that I'll choose my best one later on. After the exams.
Happy that I have something in mind, I took my stuff and went to Juli's.
I knocked and surprising enough, Collins pulled it open. From a bright expression, it faded once he saw that I was behind the door.
"Oh... Hey, Loski," he said dispirited, but kept a polite manner.
"I'm here to get my girlfriend," I managed to lift the corners of my lips, though a low one.
"Sure let me go grab her," he said, giving off exhaustion. I could feel he was rolling his eyes when he turned his back. "Lia," he called, climbing up the stairs to the bedrooms.
"Bryce honey, is that you?" I heard Juli's mom called from the kitchen. "Come on in!"
I stepped in and closed the door, placing my books on the coffee table and advanced to the kitchen.
"Ooh, smells heavenly," I said, sniffing the pleasant smell.
She smiled, acknowledging my comment. "Try it dear," she turned, holding a fork of pie with a whole lot soft, watery apples, within and fresh out of the oven.
I took a bite and boy, did it taste like actual heaven.
"Unbelievably delicious," I widened my eyes.
She giggled in appreciation. "Stop by after school, will you? I'm making more of them and your family will be given," she smiled.
"I'm sure they'll love it as much as I do."
She smiled again, rubbing my back. "You guys heading to school early?"
"Yeah, to revise a little," I said while carrying baking trays off of the counter and into the sink, giving her a hand.
"That's good," she nodded.
"Morning Bryce," Juli hugged me from behind. We were rather preoccupied to have noticed that she crept behind us. I didn't mind at all. I found it so cute when she does that and it just fills my heart.
I twisted over to hug her the right way. "Hey," I laid my head atop hers.
"You kids better start going. Revise good, okay?" aunt Trina said. "Alex, are you leaving with them too?"
