Juli's POV:
We had only a week left before the final semester ends. The school board decided to put both Year End and Christmas party all in the same week. It's going to be quite hectic but I'm positive that it'll be fun.
Sure we still had to go to school before the events but we just came for attendance since it was still compulsary.
No classes were continued on so we basically could roam around school. Every time is free period. Teachers would be in meetings for the whole day because of the student exchange program. We were guarded by hall monitors, the student body organization and prefects.
The four of us looked for a place where we could hang. It was almost impossible since everywhere we went was swarming with loud noisy groups of jocks, nerds, cheerleaders and mean, sassy rich girls. One in which the one and only Sherry Stalls is in. She glared hard in my direction.
She still had a major thing for Bryce ever since she ditched Mitch Mikealson for that lunch date with him.
That was all in the past and I'm just glad that I'm now with Bryce.
We found peace behind the bleachers. We knew we weren't allowed to go outside the school but we hurriedly passed hall monitors when they were giving 6th graders a citation for running and making loud noise. We took our chance and darted out. We carefully ducked around the stands which support the bleachers and found a nice space.
We were somewhere in the middle under our bleachers since the guest's is closer to the door. We laughed at how sneaky we were.
Bryce and I leaned on the fence behind us. He held my hand and I put my head on its favorite spot. Dana and Daven were sitting across us. We talked and joked about a lot of things.
We planned to hangout on the weekends, which is tomorrow, in the park.
"Okay, Juli and Bryce, you guys are in charge of snacks. Daven, bring your camera because we're going to take loads of pictures," said Dana.
"And what may I ask would you be contributing?" I jokingly said.
"Well, I'm basically the life of the party so... Haha, I'm just kidding. I'll bring a picnic blanket. I own a big one, it'll fit at least 10 peeps" she said.
"Oh, by the way, I heard that they allow people to swim in the lake. The owners posted a notice on the food stalls and ensured that it was safe and clean. Anyone down?" said Bryce.
It wasn't a big lake, but wasn't small either.
"Down," we all said at once.
"Done. Can't wait," said Bryce.
I got really excited. I owned an old tankini gifted by my aunt from North Carolina for my birthday. Never got to use it much but now I guess I would.
Time flew by fast and we didn't realize that it was lunch time till the bell rang.
Oops. We didn't think of how we were going to go back in. Sure enough, there were people guarding the door from the inside.
We laughed stupidly at ourselves for not thinking ahead.
"How 'bout we go through the kitchen?" Daven suggested.
"You do know that the cook staff are going to tell on us when they see us coming from the back door, right? Pass. We're going to be in a whole lot of trouble," said Bryce.
Then, it was like a light bulb flashed on in my head.
"I have an idea!" I said. "You guys know how the lock of the window in the science lab is broken, right? The one in the corner hidden under a curtain? We can go through there," I said.
