Juli's POV:

As our principal called out for lunch, Dana and I made our way down to the bottom since we were seated on the second to the highest row for better view.

Bryce and I planned to spend our lunch in the cafeteria together. I saw Bryce headed for the locker rooms, to get his wallet, I suppose. I tagged Dana along with me so she wouldn't have to eat alone. I knew Bryce wouldn't mind.

While we were waiting, the Captain of the Bears, Alex Collins, surprisingly came up to us.

"Hey girls! I'm Alex," he said reaching out his hand closer to Dana first and later on, me.

He was nice and had a good first impression on us.

We shook longer though, he didn't let go of my hand. I found it a little weird, but I brushed it off. He was just being kind.

"Hey, I'm Juli. This is Dana," I smiled.

"We've met before, you showed us to refreshments. Thanks a lot." he said with a sweet smile.

"No problem, coach told me to inform you. Anyway, nice game! You guys are really good," I stated.

"Oh, thanks! Been training a lot lately. Anyway, do you think you can show me around? Like the cafeteria? There's still one hour till back to game time. This place seem dope and I just wanted to look around."

He seemed like he was only talking to me.

"Oh, uhm, I'm actually supposed to wait for Bryce. Maybe, we all can go together."

"I would but it's just that I'm really starving. Uhm, do you think Dana could inform them instead, and we go ahead?" he really was starving. I felt sorry for him. Must've been practicing a lot to even eat.

"Uh, yeah, totally. Dana, do you mind telling Bryce? Let's all just met there," I turned to Dana.

She had an expression on her face which said 'excuse me?' with both her eye brows raised.

"Oh, totally, no worries, we'll be there. Save us a seat will you?" she sounded sarcastic.

"Certainly. See you there!" I said as Alex and I walked toward the doors leading to the hallway.

We had a little talk. He really was talkative. We already talked about a lot on the way to the cafeteria. It's just weird that Bryce doesn't know about this. This feeling is weird. It's fine. I'm just being nice. He didn't know where the cafeteria was. I was just showing him around.

We reached the cafeteria to find that the whole room was full of students.

Of course, the staff knew this was to happen so the principal reserved two long tables. One for the Bears and the other for the Lions.

Naturally, the line was long but players have privileges to cut the line and go straight to the counter, where they'll be served right away. Alex was kind enough to get my lunch too. He even paid for it.

"Alex, you didn't have too," I shyly said.

"Consider it as a token for being really kind. I just wanted to do something nice, plus I wanted to hang out with you."

"Thanks," there was nothing to say or do anyway. He already paid so I'm not gonna make that a big issue.

Bryce's POV:

After the first game, I went to the locker room to take my wallet. Juli and I talked planned to go to the cafeteria together. I figured she'd bring Dana along so I brought Daven with me too.
