Juli's POV:
Watching the sunrise was the absolute best way to start a new day. It made me feel good. Like nothing nor anyone could ruin the day for me. Though just by looking at Bryce's dazzling eyes was enough, I wouldn't say he had out done himself as a first impression of his first day being a boyfriend.
I was already certain that we would last and I'm just glad that I could call someone my own. Being a girlfriend was not so bad. He made it easier by showing me that no matter how I acted or be my true self around him, his feelings wouldn't change. Nor would mine ever would, either.
After the best sunrise I've seen, we walked hand in hand to school. It seems as though he really liked holding my hand. I think it made him feel safe and happy, exactly like how I felt.
We talked along the short way to school. He asked me what I knew about perpetual emotion. He appeared to be interested and it looked like I blew him away once again. It was cute. I felt really special.
We entered the school doors with our hands still tightly holding each other. Every student we passed in the hallway had been seemingly gawking at us. Was this going to be a normal thing now? But, I wouldn't mind. I had Bryce beside me.
Sadly, our first period subjects were different. He had Science and I had Math. He walked me to Sir Clark's class before he kissed my knuckles, like how he did at my front door, before heading to Miss Kate's.
I paid well attention in class. I finally understood Arithmetic. After I've done the given tasks and handed it in, I got the last fifteen minutes left of class in which Sir Clark allowed those who handed in their classworks to be dismissed. I went to my locker to put away math and get my Literature books when I felt someone hugging me from behind.
It was Bryce. I felt his warm breath on my right cheek and soon after felt a light kiss.
"What are you doing out so early?" I asked, turning around with big smile.
"We had a quiz but I managed to finish it early hoping I'd bump into you before second period."
"But we have second period together." I was confused, I was sure he knew that.
"I know that, I was just hoping we'd walk together to class. Hey, we have 13 minutes left before Literature. Why don't we wait on the bench?"
I nodded and we made our way out the door to the nearest bench in the campus.
"We don't have 3rd period together and I'm gonna miss you all over again," he said with lips curled into a pout. He looked like a cute little baby.
"Already?" I mentioned with a grin.
"Don't you? Miss me?" he curled his lips even more.
"You're such a baby," I elbowed him, laughing.
"You're really mean, you know that?"
"One of the reasons you love me." I flipped my hair, threw a brow up high with pure confidence.
"That's unfortunately true," he chuckled, I blushed. "Anyway, meet me by the lockers before we head for the cafeteria later for lunch. You down?"
"I'm there," I smiled.
And there it was, the stupid bell. We sighed as he got up holding out his hand for mine.
"I don't want to go," now I pouted.
"Then we'll have to face detention and it will ruin our lunch time together."
He did have a point.
I took his hanging hand, got up and he swung his arm over my shoulders once again, with my arm crossing my chest.
He pushed the door open and we went to Miss Gem's class.
We sat at the far corner of the room with two open seats. We took a seat as Miss Gem walked in.
We spent the whole thirty minutes talking about the wonders of Shakespeare. Quite boring to say the least but I had to take down notes as I was certain that it'd be out for the next quarterly exam. Bryce saw me and he also wrote down notes as we listened further to what she had to say. It was good to know that I was inspiring him to do better.
"Now that we've covered up poetry and how Shakespeare did his inspirational work, I would be assigning a homework to all of you," she paused shortly glancing at Dave and Symone making noise, and she continued, "You and your partner will make a poem for each other about things you like about him or her. You have to emphasise it a little like how Shakespeare did. You may also use his works as per reference. To be handed in tomorrow and recited right in front of class. Any questions?"
Bryce raised his hands saying,"Will the partners be assigned or are we free to choose?"
"Well, I want all of you to write to the person who is closest to you so you will be more inspired and you'll be able to think of lots to write. To answer your question, Mr. Loski, yes you all may choose your partners." said Miss Gem.
He instantly turned to look at me,"Partners?"
"Partners."
"After school at the park? We started the day with watching the sunrise, so we'll end it with watching the sunset." he smiled, and I did too. He was so thoughtful and he knew exactly what I wanted.
Literature ended and we still have one hour till lunch. Bryce and I exited the classroom and headed for the lockers. He walked me to my third period class and he headed to his.
Dana was already there. She waved her hand for me to see and I headed to where she was and sat next to her.
"So, what's going on with the two of you? Holding hands and walking like you own the place," she giggled. She looked as though she was excited to know that she was a real cupid.
"Well...." Don't get me wrong, I trusted her, she was kind and I knew she was true. Not like the other fakers. But still, I was a bit shy.
"Well?"
"He asked me out yesterday. I said yes," I manage to blurt out.
"Yes! I knew it!" she giggled again.
The teacher was 10 minutes late and for the whole time, Dana kept asking me for the 'deets' as she called it.
The teacher entered and we became silent. I tried to listen attentively and not fall asleep due to boredom but the hour went by surprisingly fast. I was relieved.
