Bryce's POV:

Yesterday, I went over to Juli's house to help her bake cookies and muffins. We did the taste test and all I could say is that Mrs. Baker's recipe is the best one yet.

Today, I headed over to Juli's house to hang before going to the park.

I knocked on the front door. I heard Juli from inside yelling, "I got it!"

But I guess her brothers got to the door first.

"Hey, Bryce. Yo Matt! Lily's little boyfriend is here!" said Mark and I soon saw Matt approaching.

"Let's welcome him then, shall we?" said Matt gesturing me to come in.

"Uhm, I'm sorry, Lily?" I asked in confusion as I stepped in.

"Yeah, that's their little nickname for me. Sorry about that. We'll be in my room," Juli appeared, grabbed my hand and pulled me hurriedly.

"Hey, wait up! We just wanted to have a talk with your little crush is that so wrong?" said Matt sarcastically.

"Yeah, baby sis. Let us get to know him. With mom and dad out of town, we're practically the ones in charge right now," Mark said.

Juli looked at me as if to say, 'I'm so sorry'

I didn't want them to think anything bad so I reluctantly agreed.

"Yeah, no, it's fine babe," oh shoot. I realized then and there. Total rookie mistake. Did I just call her babe in front of her brothers? Oh gosh, force of habit. I mentally slapped myself and braced for what was going to happen next.

"Oohh, babe, huh," Mark said as he rubbed his chin with his index and thumb.

Matt swung his arm around me and led me to sit on the couch. "C'mon Brycie. Let's have a talk."

Matt and Juli followed.

He sat me down as they, except Juli, did too.

Mark massaged my shoulders. "Calm down, bro we just want to have a chat. Don't need to be so tense."

That didn't help. At all.

"Guys," said Juli in a exhausted tone with her arms crossed.

"Lily, please. This is a boys only chat. Go to your room and prepare for your splash later. Go on now," Mark shooed her. "Oh, and while your at it, why don't you bring Brycie's stuff in your room? We'll give him back to you asap."

"And in one piece," mumbled Matt.

My eyes widen as Juli rolled her eyes and took my bag. She made one last look at me and mouthed, 'sorry' and I responded with, 'don't worry' and she disappeared from sight.

"So, Bryce. What are your intentions for our baby sis? You sure this isn't a dare or prank bud?" said Mark.

"No no, my intentions are pure, I swear. I really love her and I'd give her the world if I could."

"Good answer. Next. Okay, out of all the girls, why Lily?"

"Because she stands out from the rest. She stood her grounds with an iron back bone. She's different. Good different. I was a jerk at first, but when I got to know my feelings, it was too late. She already thought I was a coward. Now, I won back her trust and I'm never going to belittle it. It meant the world to me when she said yes," I confidently answered.

They looked at each other in agreement.

"You pass, buddy. You're fully committed. You're welcome anytime here, baby bro!" and then they went over and hugged me.
