Bryce's POV:

For my last period of the day, we had another quiz. I attentively listened to the lecture so I could answer the quiz fast and leave early. The topic was not that complicated and I managed to answer confidently. I handed in my work and Madame Hooch marked it one by one.

"Good job, Bryce. You've listened carefully to the class and managed to answer them all correctly. I'm glad to see that you're excelling," She handed my quiz back to me.

"Found a good inspiration I guess," I smiled shyly. "Uhm, Madame, do you think I could be dismissed early? I mean, that's if it's fine with you," I planned to get Juli a flower. She loves them and I know she'd appreciate it.

"Sure, Bryce. We only have 5 minutes left of class anyway. You may be dismissed."

"Thanks Madame Hooch," I then took my stuff and went to my locker, taking my Shakespeare Literature book along with me.

I went out the school and ran to the nearest flower shop which would maybe take me about 3 minutes to walk to, but I ran making it only 1 and a half. Thank goodness it wasn't that far. I picked a single pink rose with a clear plastic wrapped around it to avoid being pricked by it's thorns. I paid for the flower and looked at my watch and realized that I had only less than three minutes left. I thanked the lady and ran back to school. I reentered the school and went directly to Juli's locker, where I found her waiting for me.

"Bryce, where have you been? Why were you running from the entrance?"

"Well, I took the liberty of getting you this," I handed the rose to her as she looked at it. She took it and brought it under her nose inhaling its scent.

"Bryce, you didn't have to."

"Don't worry, I wanted to," I gave my sweetest smile to Juli. "Ready to go?"

She clipped the rose into the cover of her Shakespeare Literature book and took my hand as we made our way down the hall.

We exited the school and headed straight to the park. I noticed that there were small stalls of venders by the park.

"Want a bite?" I asked.

"Wait! This time, I'm buying," she grinned.

I tried to protest saying that it was fine but she cut me off everytime. She was really considerate and independent. Addition to the things I love about her.

We ordered pizza and iced teas and went to our spot. The highest hill on the field for better view of the sun. I still felt really bad having Juli pay for everything but no matter what I did, she insisted.

We ate as we planned out the drafts of our poems. I refused to show her my work because I told her that I wanted to surprise her. In turn, she refused to show me hers too.

We ate the last slices of pizza left as we finished our own work. By the time we were finished, the sun was slowly setting. It was sinking, preparing to leave our continent of the world. The lake was reflecting back everything it did. It made it look more appealing. The sun's reflection sparkled in the water. This was proof that some things are really better on the other side.

We closed our books and scooched in closer to each other. Like how we did this morning, in the exact same position, we held hands and she placed her head on my shoulder, soon after, I placed mine on hers.

This felt really good. I was sharing a breathtaking view with the person I love.

We watched silently as the sun began to sink back into its resting place. With its last minutes left of light for the day, it struck a powerful beam across the lake.

That was it. The end of the day. I'm so grateful for this day, in all honesty. I spent most of the day with Juli and I made her feel as special as she really is. I meant that in a good way.

The park lights soon lit up along with the road's. We threw away our mess in a nearby bin and walked back home. We talked more as we walked. We told each other how our day went. We both agreed that it was very well-spent. I also shared that time with madame Hooch and how I called her an inspiration. She blushed at this.

We arrived to our street a few minutes later. We were standing on their doorstep when she hugged me real tight, muttering the words, "Thank you, Bryce. I had an awesome day. I love you."

She was first to pull away from the hug. She gave me a kiss on my cheek and in return, I kissed the top of her hand and said, "No, thank you. I've became a better version of myself and that's all on you. I had an incredible day with you too. I love you more, Juli."

I turned around and crossed the street to my own house. We waved goodbye as we both went in the same time.

Our day ended perfectly, but the night was still young.
