Bryce's POV:

We walked out of Ms. Gem's class, hand in hand with big smiles across our faces. We were not just happy with our grade. We now knew what and how big if an impact we were to each other. I got to know that Juli still has strong feelings for me. She always had. I can't believe I was worth waiting for, half her life, ever since we moved in 6 years ago.

We walked to our lockers which were now beside each other. The locker beside Juli's was empty for the whole year so I requested if I could move in there instead. We both knew our passwords. Juli set hers to the date of our anniversary, and I set mine to the date of Juli's birth in reverse just in case, so no one would have an idea. Quite cute may I say. We were literally going all out with this relationship.

We exited the school and went to the park again. We ordered takoyaki in a stall right in the middle of the food court area. There were loads of other mouthwatering dishes and snacks to choose from but Juli was craving for them.

We talked about a lot of things. Like how she thought of the student exchange program which she stated that she didn't like the idea of. We also talked about the upcoming Year-End celebration and the Christmas party. I brought up prom and how we would look cute together in a prom pictorial. And then it hit me. I had to ask her to be my date. Yes, I was fully aware that prom would only be open to 3rd years and above, which is next school year but hey, you gotta plan ahead.

"Juli Baker, will you be my date to the prom?" I asked as I looked into her eyes. You might think I'm a bit paranoid. Of course, we'd go together. I mean, we were technically official, and would still be by then, but I just wanted to be sure.

"What?" she laughed. "Bryce you do know that prom is still far away don't you?"

"Well, I just wanted to be sure. Is that so bad?" I said with a smirk.

"Haha, you really have to get a hold of yourself, Loski."

"That wasn't an answer. So is that a yes or a no?" I asked slyly as I looked in a different direction and motioned my cheek closer to her face, expecting a kiss.

"Is that even a question? Of course yes!" she exclaimed.

I didn't move from my position. She noticed and she gave me a kiss which was followed by a side hug.

We sat there waiting for the sun to set. The topic went back to the student exchange program.

"What if a rich guy who is good looking and responsible comes?" Juli smirked. That got into my nerves real quick.

"What, even more good looking than this?" I said, giving her a smoulder. "Pfft, responsible? I can take care of you myself if that's what you meant. I'm a little hurt by the way," I added.

She laughed but I didn't seem to find anything funny at the moment. I had my serious face on.

"Bryce, I was just kidding, you were totally jealous of someone who doesn't exist!" she laughed even harder this time.

"Oh really?"

"You really think I'd leave someone who I've chased for, half of my life?" her brow was raised.

She did have a point there.

"Of course not, I trust you," I said as I swung my arm over hers to pull her closer.

"Me too," she said as she lowered and placed her head on my shoulder. "By the way, the year is nearly coming to an end," she brought up.

"We survived second year of middle school. It's gone way too fast,"

"No kidding," she sighed and breathed deeper. "This year was a little hectic don't you think? I mean with all the drama and the fuss about the eggs and the time in the library with Garrett, even during the basket boy auction. Then the knocking, calling, sneaking around the house. And finally, the Sycamore Tree."

"Keep in mind that I know I was a jerk and I still wanted to punch him in the library, and come on, the auction? I'm still frustrated you didn't bid on me though," I pouted. "And yet, bidded on Trulock. By the way, did you enjoy your lunch date with him?" I said sarcastically.

Not gonna lie, if you saw my face during that stupid basket boy auction, you'd know what I felt when the only girl on my mind went to another. Damn, that struck me good.

"Wait, let me get this straight. You want me to get stuck in a bidding war with Sherry and Melanie? I ran into Mrs. Steuby that day and she paid for the eggs. That was only 8 dollars. You think I'd bring more than a whole 50 with me?" she pointed out.

Again, she did have a point there. Dang it.

"Makes sense. Though, from now on, I bet the Principal will always have me in the auction expecting another big donation for the school. Gosh, I really hope not," We both laughed.

I wondered. What would've happened if I did punch Garrett in the library?

I told Juli about it and she said, "Would've been a real good scene HAHAHA"

"You think?"

"Yeah. Plus I'd probably see your faces through the gaps of the books. Would've been ridiculous," she laughed harder and continued, "And I would be the witness to everything and would've probably seen you being told off by the librarian and make your way to the Principal's."

She laughed at this.

And I did too.

This felt really good. Imagine living the moment, having fun with the girl of your dreams, watching the sunset. I wish the world would stop or pause for a little while. Just this time.

Who would've thought that everything will work out for me? I guess this time, life was playing a fairly good game. I just hope it will last though.
