Rye's Point of View
Yesterday was absolutely mental. I'm slightly regretting drinking that much because I was sick the whole dance rehearsal today. This week I'm only in the group dance but I'm the lead, there's a lot of pressure on me and I have to be almost perfect. At least I'm not distracted with problems, for once there's no significant drama. Joshua and I are fine as friends even though I was a little butt hurt about him being with a girl last night but I'll get over that. I don't know what's going on with Jaden but it doesn't bother me for now. There will probably be tension between us but that happens most of the times we are stuck in the same room, even if we're in the best terms.
I went home with Hunter, Joshua had brought him to the studio as usual. Joshua and I barely exchanged words but I'm sure this is how it's going to be from now so I will have to get used to it.
I was surprised to see everyone at the pool, I hope they cleaned it because someone could get sick since that water is usually disgusting.
As I approach our back yard I saw through the glass doors that Madison was part of the group in the pool. Why is she here? And why did no one tell me that it was pool day and invited her?
No one notices mine's and Hunter's existence except for Jaden who stared at me shamelessly. I'm unsure on what to do but my instincts tells me to just leave and go upstairs. Jaden waved at me awkwardly snapping me out of the thousands of thoughts that were going through my head. My panic response was to quickly turn around and go to my room.
I place Hunter on my bed and sat next to him. I have nothing to do, this is actually miserable.
Jaden: Are you okay?
Me: yeah why?
Jaden: you didnt did say hi to the group
Me: i wasnt trying to be rude
Jaden: never said you were
Jaden: come on, bring the baby
I went downstairs with Hunter after debating for a couple of minutes if I really should.
"Look you who decide to join us." Bryce announces. I hate how he does things like this knowing how awkward I am.
"Hunter!" Griffin extends his arms from the pool to grab the baby.
"Be careful please." I say giving Griffin the baby.
They continued to talk with each other and have fun. I'm not going in the pool but I sat on the floor with my legs in the water, near the group.
Between the conversation we were all having I found myself completely detached from them plenty of times. I was distracted by the interesting color of Jadens eyes and how they wandered around trying not to contact with mine. He nervously fixes his hair and laughs at the conversation he wasn't really paying attention to. I haven't catch Madison doing anything that could trigger me, as Olivia would always do. I mean, Jaden and Madison danced yesterday but that's not that big of a deal, I was dancing with Bryce also. The difference is that they're exes and, Bryce and I are only best friends.
About an hour later everyone was out of the pool hanging around. They're taking pictures and videos for their instagram accounts including Madison. Hunter is in my arms wrapped around a towel about to fall asleep.
"Yo Rye, can Madison use your bathroom?" Bryce asks me. "It's not technically mine, so yeah." I answer looking at Madison who began to walk in the house the house with me.
