Jaden's Point of View

"It was about your mother." Joshua says.

I realized that he was holding Rye's phone, meaning that he answered a call that was meant for her. They use each other's phone like it's nothing, great.

"My mother?" Rye question. "Can we place go somewhere else?" Joshua remarks again.

"Why can't you tell me now?" Rye is so stubborn. If Joshua doesn't feel comfortable saying it now, he must have a reason.

"Rye just go with him." I tell her and the boys nodded.

"Fine." She sighs.

We said our goodbyes and they left together. The boys and I went home after, confused and concerned about what was going on with Rye's mom. It seemed like it was bad news and I don't think Rye is emotionally ready for another bad situation in her life. We told Bryce and he got worried immediately, tried calling her but she didn't answer.

"It's been almost an hour now." Bryce says. "She's with Joshua so she's fine." Griffin states.

"I know she's safe but I want to know what happened."

"Hey." Jazz came in the living room to sit with us. "Has she answered?" She asks and we shook our heads.

"Maybe it wasn't that bad, she would've called." Jazz says. "So she's ignoring us to hang out with Joshua while we worry about her?" I roll my eyes.

"Maybe." Josh and Bryce laugh. "That's not funny." I look at them dead serious. "You're right, she should answer." Bryce says.

"No she doesn't. Non of you are her dads." Griffin tells us.

"You hang out with Olivia, what's the difference?" Griffin asks me defensively. "Not anymore." I respond. "Just saying, you can't get mad when she does things you do also."

"Why are you always on her side?" I snap at Griffin. "Someone has to be, she isn't here to defend herself. I think it's very disrespectful of you guys saying that she's probably banging him when clearly something was wrong."

"No one said they were banging." Josh comments. "Oh come on, that's what you guys meant." Griffin laughs in frustration. He's taking this so dramatically, not even Bryce, her best friend, is making such a big deal.

"I think we should calm down and wait for her to arrive." Jazz steps in.

"I just heard everything." Rye's shaky voice spoke. We all look at her. Her face is red, her eyes are swollen and she's breathing heavily. What the hell happened to this girl?

"Rye..." Bryce got up.

"No, don't Rye me."

"I came home because I received the worst news of my life and I needed my friends..." She can barely talk right now of how much she's crying.

Rye's Point of View

"Where are we going?" I ask Joshua while he was driving. "Can you tell me now?"

"Why couldn't the boys be there?"

"Rye, I need you to stop asking me questions." Joshua says trying to keep his calm. "It wasn't for the boys, it's the place that wasn't appropriate."

"Appropriate for what?" I ask and he sighs. "Sorry, no questions." I say.

The time passed and we were arriving to a house that looks exactly like it belongs to a millionaire. When he told me he had a house, I didn't imagine it was going to be this big. No twenty year old should have a place this big, but Joshua does.
